I am still in disbelief after my experience at this café. From the outside, it appeared to be a friendly and modern spot. I ordered a coffee and a muffin, but to my shock, the muffin had a piece of aluminum inside, which is incredibly dangerous to consume. I approached the cashier, a blonde lady, to inform her about this issue, and she didn’t even bother to apologize. She looked at me as if she already knew what the piece was. I politely asked if they could offer me another pastry given the situation, but she refused, which was extremely surprising since it seemed like the least they could do.
She then offered to refund my card, but when I asked if she needed my card number or receipt to process the refund, she said no, which was odd. It felt like she just wanted me to leave and move on to the next customer. I insisted that she show me the refund, and only then did she start using the iPad to look for my order. She eventually asked for the total amount and the last four digits of my card, revealing that if I had left when she told me to, I likely wouldn’t have received my refund at all. She tried to refund me by having me tap my card on the card reader, but it didn’t work. It became clear that she didn’t even know how to process a refund. In the end, she refunded me in cash.
This entire experience was painfully awful. The place may look nice, but it lacks proper management and customer service. The staff is unprepared for situations like these, and I certainly do not recommend this café. Besides, the muffin itself was bland and tasted like plain dough. Both my friend and I were extremely...
Read moreCafé with a few vegan options and limited gluten-free options. I had the dragon bol with tofu which is vegan and without the fried wonton it is gluten-free. It was good, but the portion size was small. I think double the quinoa would have been better. My partner had the banh mi with veggie paté and liked it, but it would have been nice if the veggie paté would have been warm. The pastry options offer quite a few vegan options including brownie, financier, two cookies and a berry square. There was also a chocolate energy ball that was vegan and gluten-free. My partner ordered the financier and brownie. The financier was quite good and not too sweet. The brownie was more cake like, but still good. The service was a bit slow. They bring it at the table when you eat in, but it took 10 to 15 min to get our salad and sandwich. For a cafe style take out place, it feels a bit long, but we did come at rush hour and they made every order to serve instead of prepping in advance. The decor was nice, and a lot of places to sit and even a few tables outside. They had an extensive drinks menu which we did not test this time, but it...

We found this little gem by wandering along St-Joseph street. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Their coffees are deliciously brewed. There’s also a very decent selections of premium teas. My daughters LOVED their milk shakes and cookies. It is also dog friendly. Competitive prices for the quality of coffees, 10x better than Starbucks!
