The cochon dingue restaurant is a staple of Quebec available in multiple locations offering a delicious Quebec bistro cuisine. Good wine choice and cocktail too ! I loved the Caesar with pigs in blanket. The appetiser trio cochon was a great way to tries different things, I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp, very yummy. The ribs were mouth watering and the potato skins were crispy&salty, this was so addictive with the spicy mayo dip ! The tartiflette was cheesy and full of flavour. You cannot go wrong with this The bacon infused pudding chômeur was a generous way to finish the dinner. The salty and smokiness of the bacon combined with the sweet gooey caramel of the pudding chômeur was a delicious treat ! Great place

Went there for delicious breakfast. Two scrambled eggs, 3 thick slices of bacon, toast and lots of home fries, plus a cappuccino(or cafe au lait or fancy upscale coffee) for $15...after great breakfast experience tried again that night for dinner. Conchon Dingue did not disappoint, actually even more impressed. I orded the maple grilled pork ribs. Fall off the bone, lip smackin' deliciousness, and the crispy, sliced white potatoes on the side were perfect. I also liked the beer, wine and some dishes had a smaller portion you could choose for smaller price. Looking forward to breakfast again tomorrow for eggs benedict with ham, brie, spinach and mushrooms.

Was only here for a late night dessert as I stayed at the hotel. I had asked the half and full portions but was completely misled in selecting the wrong sizes. What was told was a half size was actually a full piece of cake and the full size was double that. What the waitress explained on sizes was totally misleading! Now for the cake… it was legitimately boxed cake with some carton of icing smothered on it. Not worth the money whatsoever even if you’re starving. I cannot speak on the actual food that isn’t dessert, but the dessert itself was pretty horrible. Crumble, seemed old and possibly worse than a no brand boxed cake…

My husband and I went for breakfast while staying at the hotel February 3, we knew it would likely be busy given it was Carnaval time, but we were very excited nevertheless. Our waitress wasn't exactly cheerful when seating us, she sat us in a main walkway just outside of the kitchen. My husband kept getting bumped by staff and customers, and even got smacked by a baby highchair that a server was bringing to another table. There was a waterfall behind me that was very loud and on top of that it was loud due to the business.

We ordered right away and received our coffee and tea relatively quick. Then we finished our drinks before our food arrived because it was taking quite some time, the coffee was free refills but our server only came back around once to refill the cup. Our food finally arrived and it was excellent, very delicious, I had the breakfast sandwich (contents were great, and the potatoes were delightful, the bun was a little stale but acceptable).

Then our waitress went MIA, it had been like 40 minutes, at one point I saw her flipping chairs accross the room in the bar, maybe to close off an area. Then I made eye contact with her after she sat another table, she gave me a nod and I thought she'd be coming over. We had stacked the plates nicely and sorted everything for her. She never came back to the table. We were just waiting and waiting, so finally I got up and asked a waiter that was walking by if they could help us get the bill. I dont know where our waitress came from but she very quickly came over and snapped at me, "you can see we are very busy!", before I could say anything she turned away to the kitchen and as she was turning she made a face. I felt bad that she felt overwhelmed, but we couldn't wait around all day, we had activities to get to and we had finished our food long ago. She came back with the bill and POS machine moments later with the same attitude. Maybe she lost track of time with our table, but we were finished all of our food and drinks for quite some time, I didn't mean to offend her and I wasn't even mad, we were just seeking assistance to be able to leave.

We intended on going back for breakfast each morning, but now I feel weird about it and definitely don't want to go...

I had visited another Cochon Dingue in the old section of Quebec city years ago and loved it. We were shown our table and made our food selection. As this was Easter brunch, we asked about mimosas and were given a very vague description about the fruit juices and alcool. I should have listened to my gut instinct. Honestly, I do not know what they served us but it was nothing like what a mimosa tastes like, more like something you would serve a five year old. The 3 adults ordered the special local brunch plate. The kids ordered pancakes. The 3 adult plates were lukewarm. But we were so hungry we ate the meal. And the waitress Sandrine, never looked our way or came to check on us. When she cleared the table I mentioned the issue just to let her know. She disappeared for 10 minutes and then announced we would get a courtesy discount. We did not want coffee at the table or coffee to go and were very clear, yet she disappeared for another 15 minutes. All the while we are trying to get her attention and pay. At this point there are only 2 people waiting at the table as the kids are rearing to go. The restaurant is almost empty. When Sandrine the server finally shows up so I can pay she pretends she wasn't sure about the coffees. One thing is for sure, the 133.$ bill certainly did not reflect what we had for Easter Brunch. I highly recommend that this server receive supervision or better training. It seemed like a chore, or it was beneath her to serve us. Definitely not...

Bonjour !
