The views are AMAZING, but visiting is such a hassle, as you HAVE to pay online by credit or debit card. Technically, you have to reserve a specific time slot, but this doesn't seem to be enforced as it seems it rarely reaches max capacity. I was not aware of this until the day of, but decided to just risk it and show up without a reservation, hoping I could just pay with cash in person, as it was my last day and I desperately needed to get rid of some banknotes. Unfortunately, there was no way to avoid the online payment. Luckily, there is a computer at the front desk you can do it on, but it's a bit complicated if you don't know French and are used to typing on an American keyboard. Once you've entered your information, they send you a code either to your e-mail or text, so if you don't have WiFi access or an International Data Plan, or a cell phone for that matter, you're basically fried. The computer was unable to process my payment, but thankfully the girl was able to do it manually.

The ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful, and the view at the end of was worth it, but I've traveled a lot and have never seen a tourist attraction that requires payment this way. In any other circumstance, I would've just walked away and given the place 1 star, but kindness goes a long way with me, and the kindness and helpfulness of the ladies at the front desk, is why it's getting 5 stars.

That being said, if you wanna risk the chance of having bad weather, it definitely seems easier to do the...

The observatory is located at the top floor of building providing all around view of Quebec city. The observatory had been designed remarkably well providing view of all four directions of East, West, North and South. The top floor has been creatively designed to provide relevant information of distanced from important cities of the world. The information provided at walls and video interactive devices provide additional information. You can see all the important landmarks if the city from top. If you are looking for out of world place then you may get slightly disappointed. The ticket is high on price with respect to utility and attraction of place. So kindly avoid if you are short of money or...

It was cool but I put 4.

It’s a nice place for all ages. It is not far from old town. It’s All seasons and weather attraction. The price is affordable- 15CAD You can use all enters to get there. 2 restrooms are there (lobby and 31 floor). A few tables and seats are there.

Some confused moments: -in June is open 4 days a week - except weekend! But Why?! -You must get tickets online BUT no wi-fi is there!!! Be prepared if you don’t have an internet connection. -site is on French. It’s so tricky to buy ticket there. -this place is not advertised properly. -you need to take an elevator to 31 floor. Only 2 of them go there. Pay attention! No...

Great spot to get your bearings in Québec City! The Observatoire de la Capitale offers amazing 360° views of the city from way up on the 31st floor. It reminded me a bit of the CN Tower—minus the glass floor and edge walk! The exhibits were fun and informative, with historical photos and bite-sized facts that made the visit both scenic and educational. Bonus points for the friendly staff who spoke English and helped us navigate everything easily. The views are totally worth it on a clear day. If you're into skyline spotting or just want a cool way to see Québec from above, this place is definitely worth the detour!

One of the best observation decks that I've visited. Provides a 360 view of the city with a couple of tablets on each side that contain additional information on most important landmarks along with historical pictures. The walls have plenty of information on the city and province of Quebec, and its place in the world and how it compares to other cities and countries. Very well organized. The only 2 pieces that I didn't enjoy were the video presentations in between the observation halls that were quite dizzying and chaotic to my taste.
