Frite Alors! - Crémazie O — Restaurant in Quebec

This place definitely redeemed our poutine experience in Quebec. I had the traditional poutine and my fiance had the bacon poutine. We both also had burgers. We had to get our meal to go, as we had our dogs with us. I wish we could have eaten in as the restaurant has a really cute ambience.

My poutine was excellent, the gravy was nice and meaty, good ratio of cheese curds to gravy. Fries were a tad soggy, but I'm attributing that to the fact that it was takeout and it took a while for us to eat. My burger was good. I found the patty a tad dry and had to take the mesclun off because it was kind of soggy and I couldn't hack the texture (again, I'll blame that on the delay in eating it).

Ordered the La Ginette Poutine & Smoked Meat Sandwich with fries & mayo.

The poutine was very generously sized & heavy on the toppings. All the toppings tastes fresh & the fries were hot & crispy. The Smoked Meat Sandwich was thick with tender meat, very flavourful. Even the simple fries with mayo were very tasty 🤌

Food was quick to arrive to our table & service was friendly.

My favorite place for poutine during my stay in Québec City! It's on a side street off the artsy and hip Avenue Cartier. There are over a dozen varieties of poutine on the menu, as well as hamburgers, sandwiches, and plain frites. I had La Frite Alors, which was topped with red peppers, grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon. The frites were perfectly crisp and held up well to all the toppings.
