We were a party of three and, based on all the positive reviews, decided to give this place a try.
When placing our order, we only wanted a single platter to share since we weren’t very hungry. However, the server repeatedly commented that this would not be acceptable. We pointed out that the menu clearly states a $10 charge for sharing, but he insisted it should be $20 for two people. We were still fine with paying the $10 since we simply wanted to eat less, but his tone came across as rude and dismissive, as though we were making the wrong choice.
When the food arrived, no extra plates were given for sharing. When I politely asked for them, the server again remarked that “normally” he wouldn’t provide plates because the portion we ordered wasn’t much food. This reinforced the impression that he was pushing us to order more than we wanted. We also noticed him making similar comments to other tables, suggesting they order more food.
As for the food itself, it unfortunately lacked flavor and was underwhelming. Combined with the service experience, this really ruined what we hoped would be an...
Read moreI recently visited this shawarma spot in Quebec City, and I have to say my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I chose it because it had a ton of glowing reviews on Google, so I was pretty optimistic going in.
Now, the place is a little tricky to find since it's tucked away in a basement space, and that can make it a bit obscure. Once I did manage to get in, I ran into a bit of a hiccup with their potato options. I wanted fries but they basically have only one way of serving potatoes, sort of like their own wedge style, so if you’re hoping for variety, you might be out of luck.
The menu itself is pretty limited. We did get some shawarma, and while it was edible, it wasn’t exactly tasty or memorable. Unfortunately, it even left me with a bit of a stomach ache afterward, which was definitely not what I was hoping for.
Overall, I’d say it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I really can’t see why it’s rated so highly. If I were to give it a rating, it’d probably land around a 6 out of 10. So, if you’re curious, maybe give it a try, but just go in with modest...

I don't know where to start. First and foremost, we were attracted to this place by the high reviews while traveling to Quebec City. After trying it, I wonder how does this place have such reviews. It's either fake reviews, or the people going there have never tasted what shawarma should taste like.
The most important aspect about a restaurant is its food and that's where Bashir fails miserably. I have very rarely disliked food to the point of not eating it. Our complete party did not eat eat the food.
I ordered a combo shawarma plate. The chicken was tasteless and dry like a rock. The meat shawarma didn't come from a shawarma skewer like it should and tasted very strong. The Humus tasted like nothing. The salads had not an grain of salt and tasted like nothing also. Potatoes were breakfast potatoes and had nothing to do with libanese potatoes.
The plate was 22$ which is ALOT compared to other shawarma places in MTL that taste WAY WAY WAY WAY better.
Save yourself a big disappointment while trying to enjoy a meal...
