Nice halal food with very friendly service. We ordered the shish tawook (which is basically chicken shawerma strips) platter, the beef shawerma platter and the combo. Everything was good, however, since we've eaten Middle Eastern, Arabic, Lebanese cuisine for all of our life, we would rate this halal Arabic cuisine joint as a 3 for the food (when compared to other amazing Lebanese joints) but definitely 5 for the friendly service, so overall a 4. Both the gentlemen working here are very sweet and their service was amazing. They even treated us to their famous baklava which truly is one of the best we've had. We do recommend Bachir to everyone looking for a good, completely halal place to eat.

We came here all the way from Kingston. This place is among the best of the best. Not only is the food delicious, but the dessert is heavenly. Not even back home had I eaten Baklawa that's that tasty and soft (it really melts in your mouth). The owners and staff were also super kind, super welcoming. They noticed our confusion at the French menu, the produced the English menu instantly! They noticed we were out of town, they treated us with utmost and warmest kindness. I don't have much in the city of Quebec, but if I'm coming again, Bachir is a must-visit place. I wish we had them in Ontario. @Bachir Restaurant: Thank you for making my visit memorable. Merci beaucoup!

The atmosphere of Bachir restaurant in the center of Quebec was perfect. A small cozy restaurant with Arabic music and also some chairs outside to sit and enjoy the summer/spring vibes. The staffs were very polite and friendly. Regarding the food, I ordered Libanaise, and my friend ordered a vegetarian dish. You can see the full menu and prices in the pictures. The vegetarian dish is almost vegan so these people can enjoy this restaurant. The food was fresh and fantastic. I thought the dish would be spicy, but it wasn't. In the end, they also gave us Baklawa (dessert). All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant for an enjoyable evening.

We were a party of three and, based on all the positive reviews, decided to give this place a try.

When placing our order, we only wanted a single platter to share since we weren’t very hungry. However, the server repeatedly commented that this would not be acceptable. We pointed out that the menu clearly states a $10 charge for sharing, but he insisted it should be $20 for two people. We were still fine with paying the $10 since we simply wanted to eat less, but his tone came across as rude and dismissive, as though we were making the wrong choice.

When the food arrived, no extra plates were given for sharing. When I politely asked for them, the server again remarked that “normally” he wouldn’t provide plates because the portion we ordered wasn’t much food. This reinforced the impression that he was pushing us to order more than we wanted. We also noticed him making similar comments to other tables, suggesting they order more food.

As for the food itself, it unfortunately lacked flavor and was underwhelming. Combined with the service experience, this really ruined what we hoped would be an...

I recently visited this shawarma spot in Quebec City, and I have to say my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I chose it because it had a ton of glowing reviews on Google, so I was pretty optimistic going in.

Now, the place is a little tricky to find since it's tucked away in a basement space, and that can make it a bit obscure. Once I did manage to get in, I ran into a bit of a hiccup with their potato options. I wanted fries but they basically have only one way of serving potatoes, sort of like their own wedge style, so if you’re hoping for variety, you might be out of luck.

The menu itself is pretty limited. We did get some shawarma, and while it was edible, it wasn’t exactly tasty or memorable. Unfortunately, it even left me with a bit of a stomach ache afterward, which was definitely not what I was hoping for.

Overall, I’d say it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I really can’t see why it’s rated so highly. If I were to give it a rating, it’d probably land around a 6 out of 10. So, if you’re curious, maybe give it a try, but just go in with modest...

To be avoided.

I don't know where to start. First and foremost, we were attracted to this place by the high reviews while traveling to Quebec City. After trying it, I wonder how does this place have such reviews. It's either fake reviews, or the people going there have never tasted what shawarma should taste like.

The most important aspect about a restaurant is its food and that's where Bashir fails miserably. I have very rarely disliked food to the point of not eating it. Our complete party did not eat eat the food.

I ordered a combo shawarma plate. The chicken was tasteless and dry like a rock. The meat shawarma didn't come from a shawarma skewer like it should and tasted very strong. The Humus tasted like nothing. The salads had not an grain of salt and tasted like nothing also. Potatoes were breakfast potatoes and had nothing to do with libanese potatoes.

The plate was 22$ which is ALOT compared to other shawarma places in MTL that taste WAY WAY WAY WAY better.

Save yourself a big disappointment while trying to enjoy a meal...
