Overall rankings: Taste - 5/5, Presentation - 5/5 and Portion 5/5 This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! From the service, to the atmosephere/vibe, to the gluten-free setting and of course the presentation/portion/taste of the food everything was amazing! For our meal we had the Homemade Chicken Corndog, Cajun Chicken, Pulled Chicken and Chocolate Cake! Homemade Chicken Corndog - this was beautifully done, as it was cooked perfectly inside but still a light crispy finish to the corndog on the outside. Along with the dip it came with, it was such a great starting app. The entrees with the two chicken meals were incredible. The were big portions, cooked perfectly from the buns to the chicken and all the ingredients were fresh and perfectly placed. The fries and salad also just were great and made everything even better, Finally, we had the chocolate cake, which was such a great way to finish the meal. It was so soft and moist and sweet and delectable. We could not get enough of it and was such a perfect experience. Whenever we come back to Quebec CIty we will always come back here!

Run don’t walk to this restaurant! Stopped here on our last day in Quebec since the restaurant was attached to our hotel. We were warmly welcomed and accommodated even though we didn’t have a reservation. We ordered light fare and drinks. The beet salad was presented beautifully and tasted fresh. The soup of the day was sweet potato soup and this ended up being my wife’s favorite meal of the trip. I ordered the onion soup. This was my fourth version of this on our trip. I am not about a soup loaded with bread and cheese and the way this was served with the bread and cheese separately was perfect. The broth and onions were perfect. I came to find out it was gluten free bread and this restaurant is only one of two gluten free restaurants in Quebec. We came to find out our server was also the owner and was awesome and very accommodating. Don’t let a “gluten free” restaurant deter you from this establishment. I am a meat and bread guy and I will make it a point to return to this restaurant when we return to Quebec. Highly recommended!

Edit: I have visited the restaurant since the revamp and it was great. The staff was so friendly and the food was out of this world. The menu is 100% gluten free. I was able to eat so many different things that I normally can’t eat because it’s full of gluten. If you are in Quebec I strongly recommend this gem. Their menu is 98% gluten free which is amazing since I have celiacs diseases and did not have to worry of getting contaminated and sick. The service was very slow but the waitress was alone and that was not her fault. She did the best she could and was very nice and courteous. I had not had calamari in so long and I have to say they tasted delicious. It was so good that my bestfriend and I asked for a second appetizer of calamari since the portion was pretty small. However they had no more left and I was so disappointed because I am from Montreal and I rarely have the chance to eat this. This just gave me more room for desert. The food was amazing which compensated for the very long wait.

Visited July 27, with a reservation. I don't know if the evening started badly due to my poor (extremely limited) French skills.

After being seated, we ordered drinks. I asked for a Martini and was advised there was no bartender - instead ordered a demi-carafe of Tempranillo. Unfortunately I was delivered a carafe of white wine - after pointing out that I had ordered rouge - it was fixed. Wine was ok, served chilled though - a little too for my taste, even on a warm evening.

Appetizers were great - the onion rings were the first my wife has had in 12 years since being diagnosed with Celiac disease - and bruschetta was fresh, lively and tasty.

My wife ordered Waldorf salad and it was good, although her request for dressing on the side (au Cote) was not honored.

My meal - well it was the worst steak I have had in - well, since eating at the mess hall back in my militia days.

Sterling striploin - I tried to convey medium rare ( moyien Mais moin) however I received a grey piece of shoe leather, unseasoned and without merit. The sauce vin rouge was ok, could have used a bit more salt as well (and in fact, there was no salt or pepper on table to assist). The accompanying vegetables were presented nicely, did have flavour, albeit a bit overdone. The fries were shoestring - crispy and delightful.

Service was slow, I had noted this in previous reviews so I was prepared for this, however with the language barrier (I hope it was that and not a deliberate slight to us as non-quebecoise trying our best to speak French) I will have to think twice about returning - maybe we need to stick to the appetizers and beer the next time passing through...

Back after 2 years under new management. In short, amazing. 100% gluten free kitchen.

We started with duck drumsticks and the olive/nut/meat appetizers. The duck was sweet and spicy with a good amount of meat on the bone. The cured meats were delicious and the olives were to die for. Nuts are a nice appetizer dessert with caramelization. Wife had a black velvet which she said was great and it was a full pint.

For dinner, we shared a single fish n chips and a duck blue cheese poutine. The fish n chips was, I'm not kidding, the best I've ever had gluten free or regular. It was incredible. The single is two sizeable pieces, the double gets you 4. I could have eaten a double but we would have died and gone to heaven. The duck blue cheese poutine was also really good but, honestly, the blue cheese flavour was lacking.

They convinced us that dessert was on the menu so we had the chocolate mousse cake. Decadent with a fudgey base, mousse middle and ganache top with chocolate drizzle and fruits on the side. Big portion.

All of that came to about $80 after tax and before tip which was sizeable because the service was great. Slow but we knew that coming in from experience. Expect 1.5-2 hours for your meal.

Finally, their Covid protocol was really good. Santizer, panels to separate joined tables, masks off when you're sitting and on when you're up. This was our first restaurant meal since June 2020 and we felt really safe (we're a bit paranoid).

P.S. they're only open Wed-Sat in the evening which is a shame. Can't wait til we can go there for every meal to...
