Our beef was GREEN. It was so old!!! The chow mein had about 1 tbsp of chicken on it, the beef and broccoli had 3 pieces of beef in the entire container. The sweet and sour pork tasted like it came out of a sewage pile, the egg roll was so oily and burnt with nothing but soggy rotten sprouts inside. After spending $50 on a dinner for two I called and the lady was rude and told me that if we have almost full containers we can return but nobody else has ever complained. My husband went and brought it back and she tried telling us we ate it all.. too bad that there was half of the food in the containers and the other half was on our paper plates. She gave our money back and yelled at my husband to never come back. No apology or anything. Absolute rudeness and we believe she was going to serve the food we took back to a future guest. Nobody takes food back during COVID but she was insistent on getting as much of the food back as possible. I have also reported them to Environmental health as it was dirty in there and they should be investigated for selling well over expired food. Avoid this place...
Read moreFirst time patron. Was craving Chinese cuisine - and came in the restaurant nearly starving, to dine in for an early dinner as I had forgotten to eat all day until I was famished and my stomach was angry with me. Ordered a small wonton soup, a 4-item combo for one with a substitution, and an order of spicy prawns. Was phenomenal. Scarfed down the wonton soup as soon as they served it. Had an out of body experience whilst mowing down on the hot & fresh spicy prawns. Ate all dozen of them despite claiming I'd be eating leftovers...
Was already getting kind of full when the plate of the combo arrived at my table and the owner asked how it had been so far and I stumbled over my words to tell him it was the best I had ever eaten. He laughed welcomingly and said "because you were really hungry!" So humble!
I've eaten all over Q Town this year and have never been inspired to review a restaurant. I will be returning whenever I'm in Quesnel. Might not dine in every time as door dash exists and I'm a busy lady.

Read more***Updated after I received this ridiculous response. Legally you are required to accept the gift cards because the business did not stop and reopen as a new business. Even if the GCs had changed, which they didn't, it's still the same business. Also, the old owners NEVER had any social media and did not inform the public they were selling. And again, the same business means a continuation and accepting the previois GCs. As the customer, I shouldn't have to accept a loss because of questionable business practices.
I used to enjoy going here but when the new owners took over, they refused to accept any GCs. The original owners never gave them the money for the GCs sold so now they won't take them. They said it's not their fault and that they shouldn't lose money. It doesn't feel right though that the GCs were paid for and now we can't use them. I won't go back nor support...
