Red Tomato Pies, Quesnel BC — Restaurant in Quesnel

If this review was based solely on the pizza I had, it would be 1-star, BUT my friend got a different one that was delicious and 5-stars.

I made a custom and got crushed garlic as a topping… I LOVE garlic, but this pizza was inedible. I got through two pieces and my mouth was burning from garlic to the point where I actually could not even eat it… had to throw the rest away… was pretty sad because it would have been delicious except for that and wasn’t exactly cheap.

Please either dial down the crushed garlic or better yet start using roasted garlic..

Would go back again based on my friends pizza but would strongly advise against the crushed garlic topping.

Edit: changed to 5 stars after the response from owner :). Am out of town now so I didn’t take them up on it, but solid...

Red Tomato Pies – Best Pizza in Quesnel!

I’m from Kelowna and was passing through Quesnel when I decided to give Red Tomato Pies a try. I ordered a large RTP FORTE pizza with a few extra toppings and a ranch drizzle, and it was delicious! The pizza was fresh out of the oven, packed with flavour, and had a perfectly crisp crust that held up well.

The staff were great too — the guys on the phone were super helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the food and service.

My friend and I wanted a large sized pizza with his toppings on one 1/2 and mine on the other 1/2.

They said no problem (like other pizza stores) and ran me through the till.

After my card went through I had a look at the total cost and it was $6 more than it should have been.

When I asked the cashier about it he said there is a $6 up charge for doing 1/2and 1/2…..

Say what….?????

He apologized for not telling me in advance.

So I asked him to refund me as we would each order a small.

He said he’d have to call the owner to figure out how to do that.

So I folded and told him not to do that.

So I decided to write this review so others wouldn’t...
