Update: The pictures I added are NOT takeout!!!! It was dining in! We were greeted by a confused young man. It was very awkward for him and for us. Seated on a table, we figured out he was asking what we would like to drink. We asked for water (it was never refilled or asked if we wanted a refill). Had to ask for menus. Hubby ordered Lamb Donair, I ordered Beef Donair both with Tzaziki Sauce - one was delivered with Sweet Sauce the other with Tzaziki. Both were wrapped in Parchment Paper bags (we're talking about a "fine dining Restaurant") not fresh made, Cheese was melted to the wrapping aluminum foil. It was a big mess to eat as cutting it with knife and fork also put the aluminum foil in little pieces. Now to the meat: a Donair has SHAVED meat in it, whatever it's called had Gyros style pieces of meat in eat. None of them was Lamb (or we have never eaten such an old Lamb). And it was only warmed on the outside so Cheese was melted but inside it was cold.

I did not have an experience close to the negative reviews. This is my favorite restaurant in Quesnel, the atmosphere is very classy and intimate. I came here for my anniversary dinner and had the steak and lobster. The steak was the best I've ever had, cooked medium rare to perfection. My husband had a donair and we both agreed it was also the best donair we ever had. They have a good selection of alcohol. The staff was incredibly personable and attentive. It was the best food and dining experience I have had in Quesnel and I felt the prices are very fair for the great quality, especially when compared to other steak places in town like Mr mikes. I would definitely recommend blue Nile.

I’ve been to the blue Nile a few times and I have to say the food is outstanding. I get the steak and seafood. I can’t say I’ve ever been more satisfied anywhere. On top of the top tier food quality the service is amazing. The hosts are wonderful and make you feel right at home. It is a small family restaurant and the whole family works together to craft a great experience. The food is not cheap as it’s not anywhere but the portions are very generous and unlike other restaurants i leave with leftovers instead of leaving hungry. I recommend this place specially for a first date because she doing that thing u like guaranteed after u take her here lol. My word

Went as a group of 10 (with reservations), and was so disappointed. We spent about 700.00 all told and only 2 of the meals were good, both being pasta. The steaks (ribeye) were not cooked as requested and for the most part were not edible. Bacon wrapped scallops were still frozen in the middle and the lobster was also still raw in the middle. It also took 3 1/2 hours to get everyone served. The pasta dishes were about an hour before the other orders. Nice enough people but I can't return to a restaurant that is not willing to recognize their errors or try to correct them. My daughter did not even take a bite of her food and they would not admit to there...
