Ordered take out from Gogi Korean Grill twice now and each time has been amazing! I've gotten the "Veggie ChapCha Bup" it was delicious. I unfortunately didnt take a picture but it was very tasty. Good sesame flavour and the glass noodles held up well in take out. My husband got the Bulgogi and said it was very good, meat was cooked perfectly and flavour was great. Tonight I got the "Veggie Gangpungi" (pictured in my review) and it was soooo delicious. The tofu was lightly breaded with a sweet, sour and a little spicy sauce. Paired with the rice it makes for a perfect dish. So happy with the food and service. Very very tasty. Food quality is 10/10, flavours are perfect and everything we've tried so far has been great. Portions are generous and all the meals we ordered come with the miso soup (very very tasty), and a little container of kimchi and pickled radish. Service is 10/10, staff is always very friendly whenever we've ordered on the phone and picked up in store. We haven't sat in the restaurant to eat yet, we've only done take out, but its definitely small and cozy inside. Limited seating, but a good size to make for a nice intimate dining setting. We've lived in Trenton for almost 4 years now and have heard raving reviews about Gogi Korean Grill and just only this month we've decided to give it a try. So glad we did, we been very impressed and definitely will be returning...
Read moreI really enjoyed this restaurant for sure. It's a very small place to dine in, so I didn't take a lot of pictures as there were others eating. But yum, I would definitely recommend!
Our waiter was kind and helpful. We met the cook to thank him. He was lovely and hard working back there.
The miso soup was complimentary, and honestly? Best I have ever had! So flavorful.
The kimchi was 🔥, but that's to be expected!
We ordered the Bulgogi off the main menu and the Spicy Pork. Both delish. We shared our meals.
Two things I didn't fancy was 1. The bathrooms downstairs, but there is not much you can do about that I guess? You have to walk down these steps to the basement. The lights to the bathrooms are high up on the wall (took me a minute to figure out). I almost left the door open and peed in the dark lol. It's just a bit creepy down there, I was ready to go full ninja style should I have heard footsteps.... 2. The napkins were cheap, very thin. I would recommend losing the steel napkin holders on the table and just putting some nicer ones out. They don't need to be cloth, by any means, but just one step up from what I would get @ a chip truck? It's really good food but something small like that can cheapen the experience.
Prices were comparable to other places I think? They start at $15.99, as you can see from the menu, most things are priced in the...
Read moreKorean here giving a review. I ordered Kimchi Chiggae, Bulgogi, and Tangsuyuk. I must say I was quite impressed with the quality and taste of all of them. Food tasted authentic and I could tell the chef put a lot of effort to cook it properly with detail. Typically restaurants have one or two dish they are great at, so I was pleasantly surprised that all three of them were amazing. Hats off to the Mama chef. Overall, quite happy to see a real Korean restaurant open up in the area. Oh and there's a nice patio for those concerned. One watch out is that the place was quite busy when I visited on Tuesday dinner time (understandably since the food is that great). So you might have to wait a bit for your food. Recommend! 여기서 안 먹어봤으면 꼭 먹어보세요!
Update: came back and tried dumplings, Korean kimchi pancake, dolsot bibimbap, and gamjatang (pork bone soup)....
