Just went for lunch with my sister, her spouse and my family of 5 (with 3 kids under 9). We thought we’d have a quick lunch together before hitting the road. Well. Our receipt time was 12:53pm and we sat down to eat at 1:15pm. It took 22 minutes for our order, which is in my opinion unacceptable for a fast food restaurant. We watched as the staff very slowly prepared everything as though they had all the time in the world. It was almost comical after 15 minutes had passed. One young lady kept looking around, looking up at us, seemed like she either didn’t care to get things out quickly or didn’t really know what she was supposed to be doing. Can I add that there was no one in line in front of us when we came in. Also, as we suspected would happen after watching the disorganized and slow creation on our meals, we were missing two items when we sat down. They did prepare them for us when we asked. Some of the food was good, but my husband and I thought we’d order something more healthy so we got the Swiss chalet chicken wrap combos. They are $16 each and we could barely eat them. There was no pickle like in the picture. The salad was reasonable, but the wrap I could barely eat. My husband said he saw them pull it out the fridge, take it out of plastic wrap and put it on the grill to grill it. Which means our tomatoes and lettuce got grilled as well. Warm tomato and lettuce = yuck! My bacon was also not cooked which was pretty gross. The washrooms: big hole in the wall in one stall exposing pipes and insulation. The bathroom door was sooo sticky like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. Needless to say, we will certainly not be returning to that location. Read moreThis has got to be the most ridiculous restaurant I have ever been to. This is 'supposedly' a Harvey's/Swiss Chalet restaurant. 'Supposedly'. I have yet to go here to eat the Swiss Chalet food that they list as being 'available menu items', and actually be able to order it. The staff seem confused as to what time they are expected to serve the Swiss Chalet food on their menu, because apparently, at some randomly determined point in the evening, they decide not to serve the food they advertise. The last time I went here, after much debate as or whether or not they felt like cooking the food I wanted. They took my order, and my money, and told me it would be right out. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was then informed, that I would in fact be waiting, 'a while', 'like a long while'. This 'long while' turned into 30-40 minutes of wait time, before someone sheepishly approached me, to apologize that they just didn't realize that the oven they had put my chicken in, was not actually ON. So, I had just wasted about an hour of my life for nothing. They did kindly offer to pay for anything NOT Swiss Chalet off of the menu for the evening, and ironically, gave me coupons for Swiss Chalet food the next time I felt like coming in. Well, here we are again, feeling like Swiss Chalet, and having these coupons burning a hole in my pocket, just about to expire a whole one month later. I think, 'let's go out to Harvey's and redeem these suckers'. Nope, guess what? They don't serve Swiss Chalet at supper time, apparently 5:30-6 is far to late to cook chicken. So I can't redeem my worthless coupons for the food that I actually wanted in the first place, because the NEVER ACTUALLY SERVE IT! Come on people. Worst experience with any...
Read moreSo many problems in one visit, where do I even start? Ordered on the app and when we walk in we tell the girl behind the counter it’s for dine-in and give her the name. She looks at us blankly and says it’s not even in the system yet. We said that’s ok we’re just informing you it’s for here. They just keep running around searching for the receipt and rudely not paying attention to what we were saying. We sit down to wait and 15 minutes passes so I go to see what the wait is. I see the bag with my name written on it so I ask what we are waiting on. They say oh, nothing it’s ready and hand me the bag with no drinks. Why did they hand me a bag when I said it was for dine-in, in the first place? I ask where the drinks are and one of the girls hands me one straw when two drinks had been placed on the order. I tell them it’s two drinks and she slaps another straw on the counter. I take the food to the table and notice right away there is no ice in the drinks. I get up to ask if they have ice and they tell us it’s broken. It would have been nice to know before hand because we would have asked for a refund. I sit back down to eat and discover my burger is made wrong so have to get up once again to tell them. After waiting even more for it, they bring it to the table and say “here” Next we discover they didn’t include the gravy so back to the counter I go to request we get our full order. That shouldn’t need to happen. If your employee’s focused more on doing their job and less of goofing around I wouldn’t be writing this bad review right now.
