Terrible customer service! I stopped in to order my son some supper on our way home and ordered one of the big box meal deals-supposed to come with chicken strips, popcorn chicken, fries, gravy, drink and a cookie. When we got home my son opened his meal and noticed there were no fries or cookie-well actually, there were 2 French fries-so how somebody didn't notice that a meal deal with only 2 French fries didn't look quite complete is a little surprising-but okay, I'll give them a call. Mistakes happen-what's important is that they reconcile it. So I called and the manager answered-Richard-and I explained what happened. All the manager offered me to make up for the meal error was some French fries! Either I accept the French fries or I drive back down to the location and return the food and accept a refund! How does that even attempt to compensate me for my inconvenience? He wouldn't even replace the cookie-that I paid for! When you order a pepperoni pizza and it's missing the pepperoni-you don't just offer to replace the pepperoni. It is a meal meant to be eaten together. By the time I drive down there to collect the fries for the rest of my kids meal, the rest of the food is cold. And if I save the fries for a credit next time I come in, that just means more money for your business due to a screw up that the business made-why would I want to reward this business in the future for being inept and having no customer satisfaction skills whatsoever? So my only other option was to bring the food back and get a refund-so I literally had to take it away from my kid-drive down there & return the food. So thanks downtown KFC for wasting an hour of my time and the gas money to drive to and from your store and in the end my kid still didn't get to have his supper! All from a little mistake that you could have easily fixed which would not have hurt your franchise and business in the least! We will never...
Read moreWent to the downtown location shortly after 5 pm because up till this point I felt it was the only good location in Red Deer. Why? Because their gravy is the original recipe or close to it anyway because all the other KFC locations their gravy is a flour flavor. This evening I ordered a 10 piece bucket with large fries and large gravy for an order in and pick up. They are supposed to give you 5 white and 5 dark meat. I got home to see I got 1 wing, 1 small breast, 3 thighs and 5 legs. The fries had seasoning salt and alot so it tasted disgusting with the only good thing the gravy. I called their told them about the chicken before I started eating. All I got was the excuse that "I'm going to assume they didn't have enough white meat so they put the rest dark meat." Then I finally talk to someone else maybe a manager and got the exact same excuse with no resolve just excuses. I told her can I get the truth and you shouldn't cheap out on your customer's when this chicken is expensive enough and I just ended up saying good bye because it didn't sound like they wanted a happy customer. Mind you I went there around 5 pm so how can you run out of chicken and the cooks were on their cell phones. I thought there was regulations on cell phone use everywhere at a work place. You know 10, 20, 30, and 40 years ago you would never have gotten so many excuses to justify what they have done it would have been I'm sorry about that sir we will give you a discount on your next visit. We live in a different world these days I know but it just doesn't matter if you have a legitimate complaint these days. Very disappointed...
Read moreI ordered an eight piece bucket meal and asked to pay extra for a side of gravy, when she read the order back I couldn't understand her so I just assumed it would be correct. I mean how hard is it to understand I want the combo AND I'll pay extra for a side of gravy. Instead she substituted the gravy for the fries. She didn't ask me if I wanted to substitute, just did. After I got home and realized I had no fries I had to go back and of course it was my fault so I had to pay an additional $9 to get the fries that should have come with the order. Because they don't list the price of the sides, it wasn't until I looked it up later I found out the "extra gravy" would have only been $5. So I was overcharged for her mistake of assuming I wanted to substitute. I said, why would I want gravy if I didn't want fries? There was no effort to make things right. I guess when you have young kids who barely speak English I shouldn't have expected anything better. Too bad because I used to use this KFC a lot....
