Chubby Jerk BBQ & Kitchen — Restaurant in Red Deer

This restaurant is a family favourite! When our kids come home from college, it’s their first place to go grab lunch. Last month we held a family gathering for about 40+ people with over half our guests visiting from the Caribbean. We had Chubby Jerk cater for us and it was a huge hit! Our guests were going for second and third, and sometimes more plates. The food was phenomenal, communication while planning was seamless, and the food was packaged at pickup hot and ready to be served. Food and atmosphere are awesome. The owner is incredibly friendly. The portion size is perfect for the big eater and the price for real food is cheap. You can very easily go to a fast food place and pay way more for a lot less. This food is for everyone. Healthy nutritional filling goodness.

No questions, just go try it and you get to support your local community.

If you are one of those 37 year old , I only eat chicken nuggets and french fries because I'm a picky eater. Get up off your chair and go eat here. A whole new world will open up to you.

staff: one worker - presumably the owner. Friendly. Working hard behind the kitchen and also coming out to clean tables.

service: we came just before the lunch rush - quick service.

establishment: small cozy place - hidden gem. Limited seating. We found parking right outside on the street.

food: great portions. Flavour was very authentic and felt like a home cooked meal. Jerk chicken had great level of spice. BBQ chicken and oxtail were delicious. Fried dumplings were so nice - crispy on outside and soft on inside. Rice and peas and slaw...
