Subway — Restaurant in Red Deer

Went into the establishment and began ordering a sandwich making sure I say please and thank you after everything as manners are important to me. When it came to the veggie selection I normally ask for a lot of cucumber as I love cucumber, sue me. I didn’t get the woman’s name but she began to tell me I had already placed “enough” cucumbers on my sandwich and turned the sandwich towards me in effort to show me how many cucumbers I know are on the sandwich. Seriously not asking for a first born or anything here just asking for in my words “2-3 more lines” of cucumbers. She then tells me that it’s “new management” and that it’s some sort of rule that I can’t have any more veggies. I have worked for subway and in customer service related jobs for years and I know subway doesn’t charge for extra veggie toppings. I told the woman simply that I wasn’t going to argue with her and that she could either make the sandwich to my liking or I will leave and unfortunately it will go to waste. At this point there were people gathered in line waiting for their subs to be made as she’s arguing with me and they unfortunately left and weren’t served as it was an unpleasant experience to be apart of. She went on to make the sandwich not placing any of the cucumbers I had asked for and I’m not dying on a hill over said cucumbers so I paid and left telling her to have a good day and thanked her for the food. Customer service was not important at all as they would’ve rather saved .12 cents on some cucumber and unfortunately I won’t be coming back to this location. Incident took place on...

Went here today, giving 1 star because of an evident staffing issue which in turn is always a management issue! The employees were fantastic, clearly overworked & understaffed! They were doing the best they could, but it was busy and very unfair to them! There should be at least 4 staff working on a Saturday afternoon however there was just 2. Also the menu board wasn’t working, pretty hard to place an order if you don’t know what’s on the menu... Again a management issue!

Food was was consistent, service was extremely friendly considering the circumstance.

Much respect to these ladies for keeping a smile on their face.

I came in to get a sandwich for lunch during school, and after waiting about 25 minutes for my sub to be made I left and started eating it to find a long hair BAKED INTO the bread. The hair was literally inside of the bread and i had to literally pull it out… then had to get rid of it as i was not sure how much more hair was in there. So after not the best service I also had also not been able to enjoy my food as it was infested with hairs.
