I have been to this location with every changing owner. This time I went a bit suspicious, as the other place claiming to prepare south Indian food was just a joke. I can't say enough good things about this place. Mixed tandoori tikka was heaven, lunch set affordable and delicious (what is more I ordered lunch and tikka for my son and they brought two soups instead of one so that I can start feeding him). Dosa masala was awesome, although the dips were on the hot side. I even loved sambar, which I usually don't. If I was to pick on anything I would say it is all a bit hot, so I had to choose very carefully for my 5-year-old and I would add more butter on butter naan. Dosa and curry garden is now the finalist in my "best Indian restaurant in Regina" contest and it could actually compete with many others I've been to all my life. Please don't drop the mike after you establish yourselves! P.S. sorry there's no pakoras, soup and the amazing kheer with saffron on the photo. Also I loved being surprised with mixed veggies that were made with brussel sprouts. I mean brussel sprouts who would dare?! And it was amazing.

Must try this eatery. 100% authentic South Indian food. What I liked the best about this eatery is, that they are entirely focused on food quality rather then spending thousands of dollars on decor as I have noticed in many restaurants in Regina and other cities where eateries have decor worth million but food quality not good at all. This eatery have simple but functional dinning area. (See pictures) We ordered Tandoori Pomfret, Madras Fish Curry and Onion Dosa. Food presentation, Taste and quantity was simply outstanding. The best South Indian Food we have eaten in long time. None of the food was spicy for us. Each items tasted different and unique. Onion Dosa crunchy from outside and very soft inside. All the sauces served with all the dishes were very delicious as well. Place was busy with dine in and take outs. Met the owner, Raj. He was cooking serving and attending customers. Always a good sign for family run business. Highly recommended.

We went to Dosa curry Garden for lunch last week and had vegetarian South Indian thali, a special on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Actually it was a joke. It came with very few items. There’s no taste and the items were not South Indian standard. They had paneer masala with two cubes of paneer, chapathi was so dry, rice tasted a day old and nothing had South Indian flavoring. They had those colour pappadam instead of normal pappadam. Never had this kind of veggie thali anywhere else. We went there for South Indian food and were very dissatisfied and disappointed. They need to get better and have a South Indian cook. We want to continue to support South Indian restaurants, but we need better quality of food. Even if the price is higher, serve quality food!

Ordered through Uber and this was my worst Indian food experience. Ordered 3 curries and rice. They messaged me back quickly and said one item was unavailable, so I replaced it with Kadai Chicken. My food arrives and there is no Kadai chicken…only Palak Paneer and Goat Curry… I called them two times but they don’t answer their phone even though there are obviously people there working/cooking. Left them a voice mail… As for the food: both curries were bland and lacking spices compared to other restaurants I’ve ordered from, the Palak was especially bland, like they forgot to add salt? I am OK with occasionally choosing a bad new spot and getting bad food but the fact they MESSAGED me to replace a dish and then failed to include the new dish, leaving me with not enough food to feed my company, is so embarrassing. Uber refunded me but that wasn’t what I really need. But since the other dishes were so underwhelming, maybe I should be happy we didn’t receive the third?

EDIT: now several hours later … 1) restaurant still never called me back 2) two of us have upset stomach. This restaurant simply does not care. Going forward I will be sticking with Darbar and Urban Parathas which are my...

Dosa & Curry garden used to be my go to place for Indo Chinese cravings for years, however, after 2 extremely disappointing experiences in a row, I feel it's time to move on.

A few days back, I got their veg fried rice, which was barely edible. The rice was clearly going stale, lacking any kind of flavour and was completely alien to what the same dish used to be at one time.

Thinking that it might have been a one-off, I thought to give another try and this time I went for noodles and Gobi Manchurian. To my dismay, this was even worse than my earlier experience. The noodles (if we can even call it that??) felt like I was just eating plain hard raw difficult to chew vegetables - and was unbearably spicy. The Gobi Manchurian was doughy, and absolutely disgusting. Had to throw away both of these items.

I guess something has definitely changed drastically because the restaurant itself was EMPTY (And this is on a Sunday night!) - not a single person at any table.

So that's that for me with this restaurant - my hunch is the original chef quit or something. Whatever the reason, stay away from this restaurant since it's barely a shadow and distant memory of what it...
