The website for soaked waterpark pool parties is misleading. We were disappointed and shocked in the pool party guest room. The Website lead me to believe it was an area to host a party like most places, with tables and chairs and space to organize and decorate with its website advertising "A poolside guestroom where you can serve food and drinks, and put on your swimming gear.". We had brought hot food served in warming trays, drinks with cups, snacks and a birthday cake to host a birthday party with 6 adults and 8 children only to find that the pool Party guestroom is literally a regular hotel room with 2 queen sized beds. There was nowhere to put all these people. We had to clear off the hotel room desk and jam it full of our serving trays of food. The chips and snacks were served on a knee level bookshelf and the kids kept thier drinks on the ankle level bookshelf. Who wants to trust a 3 year old to sit and blow out burning birthday cake candles on a bed? Imagine having a party at your house and having everyone hang out in your bedroom! The set up felt like the hotel had a hillbilly side job to bring in some beer money, some days it is a poolside hotel room and some days it's a super fun party room for hosting birthday parties for all your friends (cant you tell by these fleece bed sheets that say Waterpark! thrown over the beds). It is irritating to pay the extra money to throw a party there for guests and not be able to properly host a party. If I had know there is no actual party rooms I maybe would have planned a small family birthday and just rented a room and stayed for the night as it would have given us more time in the pool and cost less. Despite the completely misleading information on the party guestroom or lack of a party guestroom, the water slides were fun, the water spray park is neat, there were lots of towels available and it was all pretty clean. The staff was all polite and kind. We still had a happy...
Read moreWe held my son's birthday party here and everyone had a great time. We had a room just off of the pool area reserved for a three-hour block, and the room contained two queen-sized beds covered with absorbent sheets (nobody would be sleeping, and wet kids on abed would otherwise ruin linens and bed alike), a mini-fridge, an armchair, an office chair and a TV. Therefore, if water-averse people attend, their needs are met.
Two waterslides, a programmed water wall/soaker/floor sprayer area, a large hot tub and a modest pool make up the play area. Although alike in size and shape, one of the waterslides is a transparent green (for more hesitant sliders) and the other is an opaque purple and yellow, with semi-transparent stripes in some sections. More adventurous kids will trend towards the opaque slide, as the semi-darkness feels more thrilling than the transparent green of the adjacent slide.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the other groups who attended that evening (with a range of ages from toddlers to early teens) had so much fun.
I highly recommend this site, and have not in any way been compensated...
Read moreMy family and I have just moved here from New Brunswick. I called to reserve a room, everything went great until they refused my visa debit. I don't understand why it has to specifically have to be a credit card. So I asked if I could go down and make a cash payment for the room and still no. My kids were excited to see and experience this water park. Very unfortunate that the hotel can't compromise with a customer so...
