Leopold's Tavern Regina - "OG" — Restaurant in Regina

So...love Leopold's as a location. Generally, food, drinks and atmosphere are fantastic. We usually go to the East location or order from the East location and have never had an issue. Well...we ordered from this OG location for the first time. This is after we heard that you can order directly from the website. We thought, awesome, all the profits can go directly to the pub without involving a 3rd party. Clearly a mistake. After you put the order through you get a text informing you that they use DoorDash as their delivery. Whatever, not a big deal, right? Well, after over an hour of waiting for our order, we get a text informing us that our order was canceled due to an error from the DoorDash driver. So, we called Leo's to see what the issue was. Apparently, DoorDash drivers are permitted to just cancel the order and there is no repercussions. We were told that is what happened and that there is nothing Leo's could do about it. The guy on the phone told me my choice was either to pick the food up myself or cancel the order for a refund. Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering takeout. Awful customer service from the OG location and I find it pretty ridiculous that they use a 3rd party company that can just cancel orders as they feel fit (and honestly completely misleading. They act like you should order from the website because all profits go to them but then find out they use a 3rd party service like DoorDash anyways). VERY disappointed considering how much I usually enjoy Leo's. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT order directly from their website. Very disappointing considering the potential from this business. Will never again order directly from them and feel completely mislead by their "direct"...

We have always frequented Leo’s OG, the last handful of times it has been some of the poorest quality of food and service we have experienced. We always look forward to the holiday season, it’s a tradition every year, we love going for drinks, food, juke box and the Christmas cheer and atmosphere. Unfortunately this year, our drinks ran dry without refills and our first round of poutine was cold. We sent back both of our poutines as the gravy was extremely cold. When our second ones came out the fries were burnt and hard, and the gravy was still somehow cold. The servers did not come and ask how the second time around was, we picked at it but could not finish. They asked if we wanted a box and I expressed that it was still not good. Their response was abrasive and they didn't even ask why our food didn’t end up meeting our expectations.

They did take it off the bill but there was no communication or even friendliness in the service. We were very disappointed and frankly don’t plan on coming back. This is now the third time in a row we have gone and left disappointed this year.

Terribly slow service waited over 30 minutes for a beer after being asked what I wanted, server with massive roots of highlights of blonde was by far the least attentive waitress I’ve ever dealt with, the service at north or east Leopoldo’s by far will out match the downtown location through and through. Avoid the downtown leopolds at all costs unless you enjoy braindead service & watching your waitress flirt for tips instead of serving customers with empty drinks, no point in getting the bartenders attention as he states “don’t ask me ask your server for liquor” sorry but you aren’t a bartender just a soda fetcher, Leopolds east will give you outstanding service. Please please don’t waste your money at this below C- grade location let them suffer & take your business where it’s wanted. 0/10 would rather eat off the dirty plates at classic buffet than be served a...
