Write review for tamarind restaurant Must try chicken Biryani, planner Tikka masala and chat samosa and Masur dosa
I would be happy to provide a review of Tamarind Restaurant based on the dishes you recommended.
First, I have to say that Tamarind Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel at home. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend dishes that will satisfy your taste buds.
Now, let's talk about the dishes you suggested. The chicken biryani is a must-try dish at Tamarind Restaurant. The aroma of the spices and the flavors of the tender chicken and perfectly cooked rice blend together perfectly to create a truly delightful meal. The portion size is generous, and the biryani is served with raita, which is a refreshing side dish that complements the biryani perfectly.
Next, the paneer tikka masala is another standout dish. The paneer is marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and grilled to perfection, then served in a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce. The sauce is perfectly balanced, and the paneer is tender and flavorful. This is a great vegetarian option for those who want to enjoy Indian cuisine without meat.
The chat samosa is a popular appetizer that is perfect for sharing with friends or family. The crispy samosas are filled with a spiced potato mixture and served with a tangy and flavorful tamarind chutney. This dish is a great way to start your meal at Tamarind Restaurant.
Lastly, the Masur dosa is a traditional South Indian dish that is crispy and delicious. The dosa is made from lentil and rice batter and served with a side of coconut chutney and sambar. The dosa is light and crispy, and the filling is flavorful and satisfying. This dish is a great option for those who want to try something different from the usual Indian fare.
In conclusion, Tamarind Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. The chicken biryani, paneer tikka masala, chat samosa, and Masur dosa are all delicious dishes that I highly recommend. The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great place to dine with...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at Tamarind. From start to finish, it was a series of letdowns that left a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. Me and my friends came at the restaurant on 8th july 2024 and there was a girl working (mentioning so that the management know who worked that evening).
First off, we arrived at 8:30 PM only to be informed that the restaurant was closing in 45 minutes. As soon as we sat down, we were served drinks, but they were lukewarm and quickly became watery because they were poured over ice. It was clear they had no concept of how to serve a refreshing beverage. I haven’t seen any place who would offer lukewarm drinks even before serving starters.
The seating arrangements were also a mess. My friends were not allowed to sit in the more comfortable sofa dining area, and we were constantly badgered by the staff asking if we were done eating, which made the entire dining experience extremely tense and unpleasant.
As for the food, it was a disaster. The fried rice had a terrible egg smell that was off-putting. The biryani was an even bigger disappointment. It seemed like they had just thrown some white rice over chicken gravy with a few crispy onions on top, with no proper dum cooking involved. The chicken itself was undercooked, which is a major health concern.
When we complained about the biryani, instead of apologizing, the girl working there started defending the dish. This lack of accountability and basic restaurant management ethics was astonishing.
Overall, I would not recommend Tamarind Restaurant to anyone. The poor service, subpar food, and lack of proper management made it one of the worst dining experiences...

Outstanding! Excellent food! If you've never tried their menu, I hope you do. The meats are tender, have generous amounts of sauce for naan and seasoned perfectly, yellow dal is excellent, butter naan and chapati excellent. We ordered the mushrooms sauteed in garlic and onion today...delicious and perfect as a meat alternative or accompaniment. Anu is your greeter and is very pleasant, courteous and friendly. With all the Indian restaurants in Regina, The Tamarind is first class. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy. It is in northwest Regina by Superstore.
OCT 23, 2021 Yet another excellent order on pickup! Tamarind is consistently very good..delicious food, generous portions and more of it than the surrounding competition. The nan is so soft and buttery. Best dal tadka around and good dal is a priority for us. The people are gracious and it's a pleasure to support this local restaurant. Thank you to their staff.
JULY 8, 2022 Had lunch in this lovely restaurant with it's spotless white tablecloths and napkins, most comfortable chairs, ice cold water and beautifully prepared food. Our waiter was courteous, with the kind of genteel approach that is rarely seen any more. The Vindaloo chicken was so tender, outstanding. Love their roti and naan. Thank you for a lovely lunch. For those, like us, looking for a little separation from other diners due to the latest virus, give this restaurant a try, if you feel like doing so...we felt comfortable at our table with a few other diners...
