A post to give Awareness for those who plan celebrate birthday party in this restaurant.
We recently celebrated my daughter’s 1st birthday last Saturday, Nov 12. We made a reservation with with them almost 2 months prior to the said event date.Paid dp of 200 cad as requested. We were given conditions such as: Minimum number of people should be 70 which includes kids, event should be 11-2 pm only, she would give discount (choose either free drinks or 10 percent off but we can only pay CASH). They were kind enough to let us come the night before the party and decorate the alotted place for us. On the day of the event: The event started 30 minutes late due to most guests arrived late. Everything was as planned and smooth. We had program, games, etc. While we are having one of the games, The owner came to me saying “Can I do the counting then you can cross check later?”. I said “yes!” because I was so busy with the party thats taking place. The party finished at 1:30pm. (not even 2pm) I came to look for her to give our list of the actual people who came. Prior to the event, I made a google form for RSVP. I have my guest filled out the form so I can track of the people who would come with ages of kids as well. Prices of the buffet varries with ages. (in my form, I have kid’s ages separated) When I came to her to give my list, I saw her in the counter already computed our total price based on her headcount. She didn’t acknowledge the list that we got. She insisted that our guest is 79 people (65 of which were adults) when we only have 71 (52 of which are adults). I told her “You told me to cross check later and come to you but you never acknowledge our list?” I was embarrased to argue as there were still guests left so we paid 1911 cad as she insisted when it should only be 1500+ cad. She didn’t even give us a receipt which I now understand why she gave a condition of paying cash only (no cc nor debit card) We came back at 5pm that day because we left some thing at the resto, we also printed our lists and asked for recalculation. She just told us to come back after 9pm because they were busy with the resto (which we totally understand). We came back at 9pm as they have instructed. We gave our list to them, explained everything but they keep blocking our thoughts (even when we were explaining, they keep interupting us). The owner husband even told us to count the capacity of the resto, they started counting the chairs and came up with only 66 max capacity. See??? So how come you are charging us 79 pax when you yourself figured out that max capacity is 66 ONLY? They turned their backs on us and some lady who speaked good english told us “I am sorry for wasting your time, I apologized on their behalf But I just relay message and I can’t do anything” So we left the place (still no receipt given)

We ordered from Skip and we ordered ginger beef, General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. My kids started eating before I did but when I went to eat my chicken fried rice I took a bite and it was a really weird texture like it was raw. I took it out of my mouth and it was most definitely pink inside and raw. I noticed my daughter had eaten it all but the one big hunk of chicken that she chewed and spit out. It was also raw. I looked in the container and while a couple of the pieces were cooked the majority of the others were also raw. So I contacted Skip and they refunded just the price of the Chicken Fried Rice. They said that was all that they are allowed to refund because of the agreement that they have with the restaurant. I called the restaurant to let them know that they gave us raw chicken. At first the guy was nice and he said he would see what he could do for me and that he would call right back. He called back and he told me that the chicken is not raw (He didn't see it or ask to see it). He said that the chicken there is normally pink in the middle and tried to say that it was because of the spices they use. I told him there was no spice on it cause there wasn't. He said I just can't see the spice because it is white. He said that they actually get a lot of calls of complaints about their chicken and also their pork because people think they are raw but they aren't. He assured me that they boil it so that means it can't be raw. I said that they don't boil it long enough. I just wanted a refund for the total of my order because after my kids ate raw chicken from their place I am concerned that they will end up getting sick from it. The only offer made was to send us a new rice that they would make sure was cooked even though they said the one we got in the first place was cooked. I have pictures of the raw chicken. Read moreSo for a long time l had a 5 star rating for this restaurant. My last 2 takeout orders were far from acceptable.
I didnt pay 40 dollars for sushi to receive garbage leftovers. I am normally fairly patient with people. But they totally rubbed me the wrong way with their attitudes. The way they handled this situation was pathetic and completely unprofessional.
The first bad order was old tasting and dried out. It was at the end of the day so instead of getting fresh l will assume they took it off of the conveyor belt and recycled it. It was too late by the time it got home to be able to do anything with it as it was picked up just before closing.
The second time was during the main business hours. (Not all of the order was old. Only one tray of the 3 was.) The order for that tray was visually aged looking and lt felt fridge cold even after a 10 block drive home. It is normally warm feeling due to the deep fried shrimp. I took it back because of the look of it. The reception l received from the staff was rude and ignorant. They continually lied and were condemning from the very start. First they said order was called in 3 hrs earier. I had a timed slip for 35 minutes earlier. You can see the color differences between fresh and old and the avocado had actually started to turn brown. They were unwilling to do anything till l lost my temper and when the customers who were wanting to pay their bills had to stand there and listen to what was going on...then they said you wait over there and it will be remade. By that point I was so very done with the situation.
