I never thought i would need to write a bad review for a place, but this place urged me to! First off, i come to this restaurant to pick up food ALL the time, never once did they get my order wrong which is good. However the first time i invited a friend to sit we got TERRIBLE costumer service. First off we sat down, the girl who served us had some type of attitude rushing the order which made my friend and i confused but we didn't say anything at first. Then after we ordered , we got the food, one of our order was mixed up (we did not touch that order that was wrong) so we asked one lady (who wasn't OUR waitress but worked there,) to change it and she was so nice and said no problem we will fix ur order. BUT then she told our waitress and she came back YELLING at us. We were so shocked because it was such a small case that turned big because of her. She said things like: "i told u everything, u said this why are u changing ur mind" or "this is the last time u do this". What type of costumer service is that? We both apologized first and said we meant to order that and in return you argue with us? LOL no don't get it twisted. When the right order came back, all my friend and i could hear was the waitress who was serving us yell and talking about us. Even though we don't speak the same language we knew because all the waitresses were looking straight at us after she talked to them. I don't know if its because were not Chinese or because were young adults, but you TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY. OH AND when our RIGHT order came it took 5 minutes to come, not even, so was ur arguing and rudeness really worth it?? No it wasn't, why? because you lost 2 costumers a fat tip you...

Came here on a day after my daughter had a school event, so dinner was delayed where we walked into this restaurant at 8:20pm. One of the waitresses seated us but another one told us to leave because their kitchen was closing since they close at 9pm (which was still 40 min away!)

Another staff said it's ok for us to stay and threw 2 menues at us, pressuring us to order within 10 seconds. When I said we just need a few minutes to review the menu, another lady came with prepackaged takeout and said it was leftovers from an order not picked up and asked if we wanted that instead for a discount. I was thinking, "What??? How can you even think to offer this? I don't even know what this order contains? What if I have allergies or sensitivities that I cannot consume?" I refused politely saying I would rather order from the menu. Not even a few seconds later, another lady came complaining we were taking too long while the entire experience had not been more than 2 minutes from the time we sat down, harassed and pressured.

I was so offended at that point, got up and said I was so fed up with their rudeness and left with my young daughter.

How can this place still be in business?! They have zero consideration for customers, zero customer service, zero business ethics, and zero integrity. This is clearly a business that needs to shut its doors asap.

Folks, save your $$ and head to other Chinese restaurants that are...

I had been going to this place for at least 10-11 years, and it seems the service and the food have been deteriorating gradually. Yesterday I had a BAD experience, and I vowed never to go back.

My son and I ordered a BBQ pork rice roll, a side order of steamed BBQ pork buns and a iced milk tea.

The milk tea came within 5 minutes, but the food never came. Since we were in a hurry, I asked the server to check our order after 25 minutes. She told me there was a glitch in their computer, and another server told me the stove wasn't hot enough.

So which version was true?

I didn't care as long as they gave me the food asap.

Another 10 minutes went by (so it was a total of 35 minutes) after we placed the order, the rice roll and the steamed buns finally came.

The steamed buns were at room temperature, and have dried up.

I suspected that either:

They have made the buns but forgot to make the rice rolls, so they let the buns sit there for a while and they turned cold.

The buns were cooked from frozen and they were not properly cooked , that's why they were not even warm, and dry - like a rock.

I couldn't even swallow those rock buns, so I complained to them about the situation. I said the buns were inedible.

They didn't charge me for the rock buns.

I left without paying tips.

And I vowed never to go back. Yes I know I am repeating myself but I am determined...

I have been going to this place for a few years before covid.. one of my faves honestly. Went again for the first time after covid a couple of days ago.. ordered chicken fried rice and chicken with vegetables. As i was eating I found a bug in my food, I didn’t make a fuss, did not yell at anyone, i just stopped eating. When the waitress came and asked if i want to pack my food I showed her the bug and told her no thank you and that I would just pay and go! So she goes back to the kitchen, I hear yelling, comes back with my FULL bill! Didn’t comp anything, not even the rice with the bug in it… I paid and she said hope to see you soon and i left! I was disgusted and disappointed at how the dealt with the situation, i am not one to ask for a free meal so I paid and even left a tip because I figured it wasn’t the waitresses fault, but I was so disappointed at how they dealt with a bug in my food! I had been going there for 6 years but I will never ever go back! Not because of the bug, but because of how they treated me.

The decor here is a little dated and worn, but still quite comfortable. It took a bit of time to get seated, even though there was ample seating available. They obviously did not want to give two people a table that could seat six, even though the lunch rush was over. Contrary to another review, the menu is not in Chinese only: English is spoken and written here. The tea was deeply coloured, but very lightly, almost imperceptibly flavoured. The food is no nonsense. There is nothing fancy about it, but it is good nonetheless. Having not had dim sum in a while, it hit the spot. Service wasn't very attentive, but reasonably good natured.

This restaurant has been around for a long time. The decor is very interesting in the style of maybe the early 70s in HK but looks a bit tired. Service was excellent the last time we were there. The food was solid, with no surprises one way or the other. Generous portions and prices were very reasonable. The standout dish for me was the clay pot rice which in this case was more metal pot rice. The topping was delicious with just the right amount of sauce. The burnt rice at the bottom was perfectly done, crunchy but not hard. Plenty of parking spots. Great spot for food that tastes like home-cooked meals that don’t break the bank!
