Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your restaurant with my grandparents, as they have been longing for a taste of home and your establishment offers a representation of Hong Kong cuisine that we appreciate.

During a previous visit with a friend, we were greeted by an exceptionally warm and friendly staff member who made our experience memorable. I had hoped that this visit would reflect that same welcoming atmosphere, but unfortunately, our experience this time was quite different.

Upon arrival, we sat at our table for some time without receiving any water or utensils, which is typically standard in Asian restaurants. We noticed another customer, who appeared to be of Chinese descent, was promptly served water, chopsticks, and tea. However, we were left waiting. When our food finally arrived, we still had not received any water or utensils, which led us to ask for them directly. Unfortunately, we were only provided with spoons and not the chopsticks or forks we requested.

I came to your restaurant with the intention of providing my grandparents a sense of comfort and nostalgia, but this experience left us feeling overlooked and disappointed. I would like to believe that our treatment was not intentional, but it did contribute to a feeling of exclusion that was troubling.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope that it can help improve the experience at your restaurant for...

First time order and eating here. Ordered several party trays as the reviews were great. When placing a large order over $400 over the phone and called twice for orders, they never mentioned its cash only or e-transfers so of course we didn’t show up with cash. We opted for etransfer as we were in a rush. This was a weekend. For some reason the etransfer didn’t transfer to them immediately and they claim every single customers e transfers were sent immediately they made me sit there for almost an hour wouldn’t let me go and wouldn’t accept my screenshot confirmation that it was sent from my account. It’s not my fault as a customer that the etransfer didn’t transfer immediately. They shouldn’t offer this payment option to begin with. Poor customer service for not offering credit card or interact payment in 2024. Terrible experience and my food were cold by the time I left with them. I will never order from them again. Oh and when they finally let me go they said will call me if they don’t receive the funds by that day. Sure call me they had my number anyway. Then of course I get a call from them later that they received it. They did apologize but for this terrible experience, I will ever return and do NOT recommend unless you have...

Bayview kitchen is a small, but popular restaurant located by Bayview and Major Mackenzie. We came on Sunday around 2pm, and was surprised to see how full the restaurant was. Luckily for us, there was an open spot when we arrived, but it was a little chilly as we had to sit right by the entrance. During our dine in experience, there were many customers coming in to order take out - which means this spot is pretty popular!

They have a breakfast, and lunch special which was pretty reasonable with the amount of items included, plus portion of the dishes. We opted for their lunch special which included a drink such as HK Milk Tea, and soup (only available till 2:30pm). I got the satay beef with vermicelli, and overall it was pretty tasty - there was a good amount of satay sauce included which gave it a lot of flavour. The milk tea was also surprisingly pretty good in comparison to many HK cafes I’ve visited. If you’d like to add sugar to it, there are packets on the side by your table.

As I’m moving around the area soon, it’s pleasant to know that there’s a pretty good HK cafe in the area. I would definitely recommend you to come check this spot out if you haven’t...

This small little HK cafe, was my husbands go to during his high school days, he always raves about this place, at first I never really understood what was so special about it, I've tried a few dishes and nothing really blew me away until I tried their Baked Cheese Spaghetti. Unlike traditional Italian spaghetti this was more on the sweet side (but not as sweet as filipino style spag). It reminded me of home, and how my mom use to make spaghetti for us growing up. I always thought my mom just didn't know how to cook proper Italian spag, but I realize this is the HK style spag and honestly, I think I prefer HK style spag over Italian spag (dont come for me - sorry!) I love that its affordable and comes with soup and a drink choice during lunch. My husbands favourite dish is the beef & bitter melon rice. This place is fairly small, and they tend to get busy, so be prepared to be sitting with strangers. It's also a cash out establishment!
