A Hidden Gem at Yonge and Hwy 7! I can't express enough how much I adore Archibald's, my go-to neighborhood bar at Yonge and Hwy 7. This place has quickly become my favorite spot in the city, and for all the right reasons! Firstly, the atmosphere is electric. Whether it's a busy Monday or a bustling Thursday night, Archibald's never fails to exude warmth and energy. The vibrant crowd and friendly staff create an inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. But what truly sets Archibald's apart are their themed nights. Wednesday nights are a real treat with their irresistible half-price wings – a perfect midweek indulgence! And then there's Friday, the day when Archibald's transforms into the craziest karaoke night in the entire city. Trust me; you haven't experienced karaoke until you've witnessed the Friday night extravaganza at Archibald's! The talent, the enthusiasm, and the overall fun vibe make it an unforgettable experience. The staff here deserves a special mention. Their service is top-notch, even during the busiest hours. They're attentive, friendly, and always ready to recommend the perfect drink or dish to suit your mood. Lastly, let's talk about the food and drinks. Archibald's boasts an impressive menu with a variety of options to satisfy every palate. From delectable finger foods to hearty meals, their kitchen knows how to impress. The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a wide array of cocktails, beers, and spirits, ensuring there's something for everyone. In summary, Archibald's is not just a bar; it's a community, a place where strangers become friends, and where every night is a memorable experience. Whether you're looking for a relaxed evening with friends, a midweek wing feast, or an epic karaoke night, Archibald's is the ultimate destination. I can't recommend this place enough – it's a true gem in the heart of the city. Cheers to Archibald's for always delivering exceptional experiences!

I had lunch here for the first time on a Friday. The place was pretty empty, but I was told it does get busy later Friday afternoon and on weekends. There's plenty of free parking. The decor and ambience are like an English pub or cottage: dark, with lots of wood and dark beams in a white ceiling. It's a large place with plenty of seating and a nice billiards area. Several very comfortable booths are next to large windows by the front entrance, with a good view of Yonge Street. There are also a lot of TVs to watch sports, if that's your thing. The service was fast and friendly. The draft was a full pour. I had the chicken ciabatta sandwich with fries. The sandwich was tasty but a bit small. The fries were plentiful, hot and fresh. I like that they give you full bottles of ketchup and mayo - too many places give you microscopic bowls of these. The total for the sandwich and draft with tip and tax was $35, about average. It's not the most modern joint, but it has much more character and charm than many chain restaurants, making it a fun place to be. I'll come back here to try other dishes, as their menu is quite extensive. No desserts, though, unfortunately!

Wish I could give them more but , after being there a few times , they just get worse and worse ,

Last night my boyfriend and I went out for Friday night fish and chips. And dinner turned into a disaster , Not sure if thenhave new kitchen safe but someone defiantly needs to get i there and retrain the staff on how a restaurant opeprates and how long cooking times are.

I ordered the Latrice fries basket - they were basically the only half decent thing of the night , while they over charge you for dipping sauces I can let that go, the problem is when you need something actually cooked.

My boyfriend Ordered the fish and chips and man oh man , we haven’t had an experience like this in a long time , first off his fish batter was uncooked completely raw on the inside , they took it back and fired him a new one only this time forgetting that fish was supposed to come with chips , they hand him back literally just a fish piece ) at least this time was a little more cooked), our waitress was clearly annoyed with us and when we’re called her over she sent someone else , you could see the annoyance written all over her face , ( no offence but if there something wrong with the food it isn’t the customers fault ) and when we mentioned to them that there was suppose to be fries on the plate considering it’s fish and chips they got annoyed, at least they went back and said that they get new ones , now In all seriousness not even literally 45 second later they bring out “fresh fries “ and I was shocked not possible for them to by fries out that fast unless the order was ment for a different table and just to get us to shut our mouth gave us someone else fries , and yet when my boyfriend bit into one , boom!!!!! That to was raw on the inside , I’m pretty sure they need new line cooks because they’re food is just down grading .

Anyways after that fiasco , all waiting staff were no where to be found , but glad that the cook open the kitchen door and stared us down as if we were the problem , it’s simple , if you can’t cook stay out of the kitchen .... don’t grill your customer down because you have short comings.

It took us forever to ask for our bill , thank god we had people sitting next to our booth bvausd us grabbing the waitress attention never would have happened if she didn’t go back to the neighbouring table .

Reguardless we asked for the bill and water and all you heard is the biggest grunt and annoyed sigh anyother coild possibly make , and low and behold it’s coming from our waitress - couldn’t be bother to bring us water, grabbed only my boyfriends glass filled it half way and dropped it in the table as if we owed her something ,

Couldn’t find her all night yet she hovered like a predators hunting for prey while we were lying the bill.

Honestly , I’ve been a few times always wanted to give this place a chance , but it’s clear That they don’t care for new customers , simply only cater to the regulars.

Won’t be coming back ever again.

If you're looking to eat raw food, I’d suggest sushi instead. Cause Archibald's will leave you with nothing but...

Foul bar and management! Be aware, they have a minimum spending limit that they do not make clear! Also, they are so rude and yell at customers! Me and my friends have been regulars for months. Last time we came they refused to let us sit together and the vile blonde bartender yelled at us like we were less than human, let alone paying customers. Not sure what makes management here think that it’s okay to treat people like this, but given the quality of their food (especially the lasagna that smells like stinky socks), it seems like they don’t care as long as they get their money. This was especially apparent when the owner came out and informed us that they will stop serving us water until we spend more money! Firstly, I’m not even sure how legal this is. Secondly, how do they allow themselves to complain that customers haven’t spent ENOUGH. Some of us ordered food and drinks, and still they thought it was okay to try to pressure us. It’s safe to say we feel really taken advantage of and used. We will not be returning and we will definitely not be recommending this place with entitled, arrogant management to any of our other friends or family.

Edit: As was previously mentioned, both food and drinks were ordered. Its not like there was a group of people sitting and ONLY drinking water. Maybe if you wouldn't make us play musical chairs then it would be more apparent to you. As it stands, you informed returning paying customers that you are unhappy with the AMOUNT of money they have spent, so you will not be serving any more water. As for the food concerns, if your service was actually speedy and management wouldn't yell at us, we would be happy to share feedback within a positive environment. But your staff made it very clear you either wanted us to give you more...
