terrible experience today, especially for mother’s day! we walked in with our entire family, excited to have some dessert. when we walked in, a large group walked in behind us, but we were ahead of them so we went to sit at a table. this is because when we’ve gone in the past, we’ve been told by employees in the past that we can seat ourselves wherever we please. after 5 minutes of waiting at the door, we sat down at one of the two empty tables, and spent another 5 minutes joking around amongst our family as to who should sit on which side of the booth. there was no waitress to seat us, which we figured was routine. we were sitting and then approached by the waitress, we were not greeted, rather told that we are not allowed to sit there because there had been a reservation made. of the two available tables, one had a sign that said reserved, so we sat at the one that had no indication that it was reserved. the waitress, who turned out to be the manager, was not polite as she was repeatedly emphasizing that we cannot sit there, and was not providing any sort of alternative arrangement or accommodation. she kept saying that they phone called to reserve, which proved no purpose to us as we, the customer, have no idea that this table has been reserved when right before we sat down, there was another man waiting for his pickup order. the waitress/manager was extremely unprofessional, rude, and did not react well when we suggested that we should leave the restaurant as a whole. she did not agree to us leaving, but did not suggest any alternative for us. keep in mind, this booth that the group of 20 had “booked” was across the restaurant from where the rest of their party was, and there was another table that was emptying right next to them. this was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude, and it is sad that that young lady is what the branch calls their manager. the best part is that she couldn’t say “sorry” or better yet, provide any form of the simplest apology. we walked out, given that’s that what was implied for us to do, and are not going to be returning unless the manager is able to change her attitude.
walking out, we saw another couple, who we told that we were kicked out because they were full, and they fully turned around back to their car. now that same couple is at demetres where we are....

I am changing the rating cuz they deserve it — making up for the previous mess up with the right attitude, and showing they care. Want to thank the manager for this. Looking forward to come back.
Original review (1star): We got there early (8:15’ish) while they werent very busy yet, and ordered for take out. They didn’t have any menus for us to see. There was actually 1 copy but they refused to let us see — asked us to go online to check the menu. Then after ordering, we were asked to wait, so we waited — they started to get busy 15 mins after we arrived…. After more than half an hr of waiting, I went up to the counter to follow up on our order. By then, there was a line up and it was hard to find someone to ask about our order. Finally, I managed to get someone’s attention. Long story cut short, they forgot about us. The order was prepared by the kitchen, and packed, but we were never called (the buzzer thing never went off), and the food was inside the bag sitting somewhere behind the counter 🤦♀️ 🤦♀️ 🤦♀️. Needless to say, the funnel fries were cold and the ice cream messy when we opened the bag. 🤮 I came to give this store a try, thinking it may be a good venue for meetup we were planning with high school friends. It was my first (and obviously will be my last) time to try...
Read moreI recently visited D Spot Dessert Cafe in Richmond Hill and had an absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening out.
My Crepe Ate Your Brownie: This dessert was a heavenly combination of a warm, soft crepe enveloping a rich, fudgy brownie. The contrast of textures was spot on, and the drizzle of chocolate sauce added just the right amount of sweetness. It was a decadent treat that I would highly recommend to any chocolate lover.
Heaven on Earth: This dessert truly lived up to its name. The layers of creamy goodness, combined with the perfect balance of flavors, made every bite a blissful experience. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.
Classic Beef Burger: For those who prefer something savory, the Classic Beef Burger was a great choice. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, topped with fresh ingredients that added a burst of flavor. It was a satisfying and hearty option that complemented the sweet treats perfectly.
Overall, my visit to D Spot Dessert Cafe was fantastic. The variety of options and the quality of the food made it a memorable experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
