Nov 2024 update Super disappointed after today's visit. They have changed their chicken into processed fake stuff, instead of the original fresh chicken. The taste is noticable and not worth it anymore. The chicken poutine used to be a dinner staple but this feels like fast food. The croffle was dry and unpleasant. Won't be back after this inconsistency. The staff did their best, but were extremely understaffed , and took ages for water, getting orders and bringing food. // Old review Looks like this location is full service now. We had a lovely visit friday night. Kushi and Sarah were very patient and had an awesome attitude, despite looking understaffed and being busy. The food was all delicious, and ice cream is served in real glassware now too. I really appreciated the attitude of the staff it was the cherry on top :) //older review//The desserts were good what you expect from dspot. Got the croffle which was overdone, and crepe which was good, both topped generously. Ice cream is served in paper cups, which I don't like, but plates and utensils are real. The service is good, and staff was very friendly. Overall good spot for dessert but doesn't compare to the full service dspots.

My ratings is based on the items ordered today: “Warm and Loving” Crepes, Cheeseburger, and hot mint tea. With tax and tips , total to about $43. Not cheap in my opinion. Crepes: nothing standout to be honest, the crepes is abit rubbery that lacks the crispy/crunch texture.. The apples doesn’t taste natural and with a thick starchy like sweet sauce… not my kind of taste and texture unfortunately. The burger: looks like it’s freshly made when order but it doesn’t taste good for my preference. I don’t exactly like the beef Patty taste because for some reason, it doesn’t has a strong beef taste. For this price , Hero burger across the parking lot is a lot better in my opinion. End to end experience is average for me. The place looks new and folks seems very friendly! You need to order and pay first at cashier and then they will bring you the food to your table when ready.

I recently visited this D Spot location in Richmond Hill, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the standard set by their other location. This spot is much smaller, which makes the atmosphere feel cramped and less inviting. The overall cleanliness of the dine-in area and washrooms was questionable, and it didn’t have the same welcoming vibe I'm used to. Service was extremely slow, took 15 minutes to take the order and another 15 minutes to serve it! Long waits even though the place wasn’t packed, as there was only one server running around and doing her very best, while the manager/owner was standing behind the counter. To top it off, the portions felt stingy compared to their other locations. While the desserts themselves were still tasty, the experience as a whole was disappointing. I hope they can improve, as this location has potential but isn't quite there yet.

terrible experience today, especially for mother’s day! we walked in with our entire family, excited to have some dessert. when we walked in, a large group walked in behind us, but we were ahead of them so we went to sit at a table. this is because when we’ve gone in the past, we’ve been told by employees in the past that we can seat ourselves wherever we please. after 5 minutes of waiting at the door, we sat down at one of the two empty tables, and spent another 5 minutes joking around amongst our family as to who should sit on which side of the booth. there was no waitress to seat us, which we figured was routine. we were sitting and then approached by the waitress, we were not greeted, rather told that we are not allowed to sit there because there had been a reservation made. of the two available tables, one had a sign that said reserved, so we sat at the one that had no indication that it was reserved. the waitress, who turned out to be the manager, was not polite as she was repeatedly emphasizing that we cannot sit there, and was not providing any sort of alternative arrangement or accommodation. she kept saying that they phone called to reserve, which proved no purpose to us as we, the customer, have no idea that this table has been reserved when right before we sat down, there was another man waiting for his pickup order. the waitress/manager was extremely unprofessional, rude, and did not react well when we suggested that we should leave the restaurant as a whole. she did not agree to us leaving, but did not suggest any alternative for us. keep in mind, this booth that the group of 20 had “booked” was across the restaurant from where the rest of their party was, and there was another table that was emptying right next to them. this was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude, and it is sad that that young lady is what the branch calls their manager. the best part is that she couldn’t say “sorry” or better yet, provide any form of the simplest apology. we walked out, given that’s that what was implied for us to do, and are not going to be returning unless the manager is able to change her attitude.

walking out, we saw another couple, who we told that we were kicked out because they were full, and they fully turned around back to their car. now that same couple is at demetres where we are....

Update (5 stars): The store made things right. We are very happy with the way they handled this, and feel they have redeemed themselves. I am changing the rating cuz they deserve it — making up for the previous mess up with the right attitude, and showing they care. Want to thank the manager for this. Looking forward to come back.

Original review (1star): We got there early (8:15’ish) while they werent very busy yet, and ordered for take out. They didn’t have any menus for us to see. There was actually 1 copy but they refused to let us see — asked us to go online to check the menu. Then after ordering, we were asked to wait, so we waited — they started to get busy 15 mins after we arrived…. After more than half an hr of waiting, I went up to the counter to follow up on our order. By then, there was a line up and it was hard to find someone to ask about our order. Finally, I managed to get someone’s attention. Long story cut short, they forgot about us. The order was prepared by the kitchen, and packed, but we were never called (the buzzer thing never went off), and the food was inside the bag sitting somewhere behind the counter 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️ 🤦‍♀️. Needless to say, the funnel fries were cold and the ice cream messy when we opened the bag. 🤮 I came to give this store a try, thinking it may be a good venue for meetup we were planning with high school friends. It was my first (and obviously will be my last) time to try...

I recently visited D Spot Dessert Cafe in Richmond Hill and had an absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening out.

My Crepe Ate Your Brownie: This dessert was a heavenly combination of a warm, soft crepe enveloping a rich, fudgy brownie. The contrast of textures was spot on, and the drizzle of chocolate sauce added just the right amount of sweetness. It was a decadent treat that I would highly recommend to any chocolate lover.

Heaven on Earth: This dessert truly lived up to its name. The layers of creamy goodness, combined with the perfect balance of flavors, made every bite a blissful experience. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.

Classic Beef Burger: For those who prefer something savory, the Classic Beef Burger was a great choice. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, topped with fresh ingredients that added a burst of flavor. It was a satisfying and hearty option that complemented the sweet treats perfectly.

Overall, my visit to D Spot Dessert Cafe was fantastic. The variety of options and the quality of the food made it a memorable experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
