We visited this restaurant today for breakfast with a group of about 15 people. Four of us arrived just five minutes late, and when we got there, we noticed that our friends had been seated at a table that was too small for our group, making everyone sit uncomfortably close together. There was no host or server at the door to assist us, so we were unsure how to adjust our seating.
When we were considering sitting at an empty nearby table, a server approached us in a very rude and aggressive manner. Without any greeting, she immediately said, “You can’t sit wherever you want.” Her tone was unprofessional and unwelcoming. We didn’t argue because we were with friends and didn’t want to ruin anyone’s Sunday morning, but the experience was very disappointing.
On top of that, the utensils wrapped in napkins were dirty, and instead of a server coming to replace them, I had to go and ask for clean ones myself. Additionally, the pepper shaker on the table was greasy, and I didn’t even want to touch it.
This restaurant needs to train its staff to greet customers properly and create a welcoming environment. If the space is too small to accommodate larger groups, it would be better for them to manage reservations or refuse extra guests rather than squeezing people in uncomfortably. They should also ensure that tables and utensils are properly cleaned before seating guests. Having a host at the door to greet and seat customers would also improve the experience.
I won’t mention the server’s name, but her attitude was unacceptable, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location.
Hello,
Thank you for your response. I appreciate that you are taking the time to follow up on my feedback.
I can confirm with absolute certainty that our group was at the Richmond Hill location at 12270 Yonge St. We arrived between 9:30 and 10:30 AM and were seated at a rectangular table beside the wall. Since we were a mix of singles, couples, and a family with two kids, we paid with separate bills. Our group occupied two tables—one where four of us sat, and another beside us, which had a couple celebrating a birthday. I remember your staff even sang "Happy Birthday" for the lady.
I prefer not to mention the server's name, but I am sure management can identify who was working during that time. The same server I mentioned also came to collect the bills at the end of our visit.
I appreciate your willingness to address this matter, and I hope this feedback helps improve future experiences...
Read moreI don’t usually leave negative reviews, but our experience on Mother's Day morning was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to share.
We made a reservation through Waitlist Me for Mother's Day morning and arrived right on time, only to be told it would be another 20 minutes. With a 6-month-old baby in tow, we waited outside patiently. After 25 minutes, we got a text that our table was ready and proceeded to check in. However, the host told us to wait an additional 5 minutes while the table was being prepared.
What really soured the experience was seeing another family—who seemed to be personally known by one of the staff—arrive after us and be immediately seated at what was clearly supposed to be our table. When I brought this up, the staff acknowledged that our table had been given away and said they would get us another one shortly, again without any real apology or sense of urgency.
Once seated, things didn’t improve. Our server mixed up my son’s order, bringing out plain pancakes instead of the cookies and cream pancakes we had asked for. When we pointed this out, we were told we could either keep the incorrect dish or wait 20 minutes for the right one—not ideal, especially with young kids. To top it all off, the meal we ordered for our son included juice or milk, which was never served. We had to ask for it while paying the bill, and it was handed to us in a to-go cup with no apology.
I understand that holidays can be hectic, but basic courtesy and attention to detail should never be compromised. This experience left us disappointed and...
Read moreMy friend and I decided to try out Stacked for the first time, since I had received some coupons in the mail. I could not be more satisfied with the experience!!
Starting with the service: Francine was our waitress. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopping, spectacular, etc etc… She was great!!! Friendly and bubbly, and just all around had such a great vibe. She took the time to engage with us aside from talking about the food, which made the experience even more enjoyable and comfortable. She was very attentive and efficient with her service, and she was also very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were great (the cinnamon bun pancakes are HEAVENLY). I would absolutely come back to this location, just based on her service. She was holding her tables DOWN. An absolute slay by Francine. Thank you!!!
Now the food: SO GOOD. The prices are really reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. The Pancake Stack was super filling and we were able to upgrade the plain pancakes to any of the signature flavours. Everything tasted really really good and was cooked perfectly (thank you to the cooks in the back!!). The iced coffees were also super good. I’m already looking at the menu again for next time!!!
Overall: I really enjoyed the dining experience here and I will definitely be going back. Great location with great service, great food, and a great ambience. 10/10 would...
