i went in today with a friend and had a terrible experience. first, we waited 10 minutes to have our orders taken when there were 4 employees and one other person waiting for their food. then, after taking my friends order, i had to wait another 5 minutes simply to be acknowledged. afterwards, once both of our orders were taken and we waited another 7 minutes, we received our orders, just to realize that neither of us had gotten what we asked for. we had both ordered frings, but received fries instead. when we told them that we ordered frings, instead of an apology, we were told “No, you didn’t”, when we both specifically mentioned at cash that we would like frings. My friend got her order first and when she wanted her frings, they said you have to pay the difference, refusing to accept that they had misplaced the order. as for me, i had 2 orders of frings, but i received only one along with fries. i said that i ordered frings, and i was simply told “No”. then the other worker comes up and says no you didn’t. and i told the third worker who took my order that yes i did ask for frings. she wasn’t denying it yet she was not willing to accept that i had infact said that. they were arguing loudly with each other amongst the three of them in front of me, and i finally paid the $1.20 difference after expressing that i should not be at fault for their error. they were very short and impatient, and when i asked for ketchup afterwards, there was no smile politeness, manners or even any eye contact. simply the three ketchup packets slammed onto the countertop. it was already slow enough, and the service just made the experience so much worse to the point where we felt uncomfortable. never EVER returning to this location, at least not if the staff are all still sooo cranky and stubborn.
plus, the workers were handling food with bare hands - they were placing burgers onto the counter, grabbing it with their hands and bringing it out front to add condiments....
Read moreDine-in hours incorrect on Google as of 08/08/23. States open till midnight but door was locked at 10:45 on a Tuesday night despite open sign being lit. Hours aren't posted on the door.
Update 08/16/23: Company reached out and has apparently added signage, I haven't been by to verify. I'm pleased with the result, but frustrated I had to jump through hoops via their ticketing and canned email system to get this resolved. I didn't want to get anyone in trouble, but it's frustrating when you're on foot and walk up to a door expecting a restaurant to be open (given the lit open sign), and then you can't even verify when it will be open in the future.
Was this worth taking my time to resolve? And then to update my review? Not really. But hopefully it saves someone else frustration down the road.
Edit August 2025: Hilariously, I had forgotten about my earlier experience. Once again I found myself seeking Harvey's late one rainy night. On Google it said open till midnight. I arrived after ten and the doors were locked. There are hours posted on the door now. But only the drive-through is open till midnight; the dining room closes at ten. Very frustrating. I...
Read moreThe worst fast food experience I ever had in my life. We purchased dinner today and none of the burgers were marked. We purchased a veggie burger, chicken burger, Angus burger and a Junior burger. They all were drenched in sauces and could not be distinguished from each other. Unfortunately different burgers ordered due to the different preferences and restrictions and allergies . We use DoorDash to get our burgers and it arrive at 9:45 PM. When call the store to complain the manager answered the phone and she was not apologetic at all she was rude condescending and demeaning . She kept on saying that it was our fault and that we should have made sure that it was marked. The worst Store ever. I hope head office will make sure that the have better customer service. All the burgers ended up in the garage. Never It will order all purchase from Harvey’s Richmond Hill near Yonge and...
