**UPDATE**: Came back on friday night and the employees honoured my stamp card! I knew my friday night peeps wouldn’t let me down! Don’t know if it’s because management spoke to staff or it’s because the supervisor working with Prabjot and Prabh K at 1pm on wed was just not trained properly or knowledgeable enough. Anyways BACK TO THE 5 STAR BOOKS YOU GO. Love me dem rice bowls. ——— *UPDATE*: Dropping my overall 5 stars down to 3 and sevice to 2 stars cuz I had collected a full loyalty card worth of stamps and when I presented it to the manager (the one working next to Prabjot and Prabh K at 1pm on Wed, Sept 25 but not wearing her name tag) she declared that they were suddenly not accepting stamp cards any longer and told me that mine would not be accepted or honoured. If the resto was truly dropping stamp cards as a policy, they should STILL HONOUR free shawarmas to the remaining folks who have diligently collected 10 stamps (this is common sense)!!! If this is coming from management and not the staff then I think you guys need to hold a meeting to discuss and rethink this terrible policy! The worker last friday told me to bring in my stamp card today to have it honoured as well. Absolutely atrocious customer service from the manager on duty today. ——— They actually listened! Here's your 5 stars back Tahini's. Take a bow! After I (and many others) complained about the sneaky container switch in my last review, they have reinstated the large rice bowl sizes (effective Jan 15). I stopped by as soon as I could, after reading that they reverted back to having regular bowls. While the large bowls still aren't the same as their original regular bowl sizes, the bowls are DEEPER even though they're smaller in diameter (see pic for reference). The amount of meat is back to the nice big, hearty portion size. The food is delicious. That cannot be ignored. Out of all the shawarma places near me, I like Tahini's rice the most. It's so flavourful compared to Osmow's or Lazeez. On their best day, they are toe to toe with Shelby's in Oakville. I also wanna say I absolutely love how they're open late til 3 am on fridays and saturdays. SO CLUTCH. My guy working the super late night friday shifts remembers me by now haha. It's refreshing to see a business actually listen to their customers. My patronage is yours once again! I've posted a screenshot of my previous review for reference.

Overall not a pleasant experience at all. I ordered a fattoush salad with chicken shawarma on top. The salad was old and yellow to a point where I had to return it and ask them to just give me rice. The servers were rude and ignorant when I told them the salad was old. I had to wait another 20 minutes for just rice. Finally I received the bowl. As I was eating I hurt myself in the mouth as there was a bone in the chicken masked by all the sauce. At this point I just stopped eating. Please see pic attached (bone on fork). Because the service was ridiculous I was uncomfortable approaching them again. So waste of food and waste of money. Atmosphere was unsanitary and garbage was not picked up or cleaned by servers. One server was nuts standing there idle when she could’ve assisted in cleaning or help to prepare dishes. All in all, a very disappointing experience and would never return here nor would I refer. Step it up Tahini @ Richmond Hill!!!!!

Driving by around 2pm the name got me feeling hungry. We stopped for the first time here. It’s a nice fast food style restaurant. Great decor, they put thought and effort to the logo, the menu and easy and clean atmosphere. The menu was is middle eastern with some fusion of jerk, butter chicken and Gyro too. I really liked the options, where they incorporate the traditional Arabic/middle eastern food with other flavors. And they do it so well. I ordered a medium falafel wrap with parsley (because it’s much better with parsley) and other traditional toppings. We also ordered a chicken shawarma salad and I then got a habibis bowl. All of our food was prepared fresh and tasted really good. The staff cared about the product which was evident in their behavior and friendliness and the quality of the food. Enjoyed all our food and will definitely be back soon. Kudos to the staff for upholding a great attitude and being friendly as well.

Pathetic - i guess i had to give it one star - so basically i always go to Lazeez shawerma and get their half rice half salad with chicken shawerma - so here they have what they call their Shawn bowl - but you get a choice of ONLY 5 veggies and one of them has to be lettuce - cos you want half salad - so now you are down to a choice of 4 - leaving many veggies that i like in my salad sitting in their store - best move i made was to leave and go to Lazeez - at least next time i wont waste my time driving to Tahinis. Lesson learned.

So hear i am again - sorry Mr. Owner -there seems to be a DISTINCT disconnect from what you are telling me and what your staff is doing. I DID go to your establishment again yesterday around 6:30pm (for the 2nd time - NOT like i did NOT go there the last time as you imply in our response below), and ordered the maya bowl and was told i get chicken and 5 choices for my "salad" So here i go 1. lettuce (you kinda need that for a salad) 2. onions, 3. tomatoes 4. turnips 5. parsley. Thats it i am done, cant get pickles, cabbage or anything else from their vast offerings but worse i CANT even get garlic/tahini/spicy garlic cos my 5 options are used up. I can get them for an extra fee though. I had a chicken shawerma wrap instead bec for that there is unlimited toppings/sauces so i am not so much restricted. So the shawerma was good/decent - not the best i have had in Toronto and certainly not the worst. Would i go again? possibly if i was hungry and didnt have a lot of time to go elsewhere (I live literally 5 min from the plaza). I hope i have come across well enough to prove to you Mr. owner that I HAVE physically been to your store twice now, so please do NOT imply i have not ever been there - because that really does not show well to the public here. Regardless i guess if the 5 topping salad works or you and your customers then good for you, just doesnt work for me and if i really do feel like salad/chicken or salad/rice/chicken i would be...

I have been a regular at Tahini's for a while now and I have always been impressed with the authenticity of the food and the friendly service. My friend referred me to the Scarborough location in November and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I was excited when they opened a location in Richmond Hill, as it was closer to my home and I started visiting 2-3 times a week. The shawarma was always delicious, with a great quantity and quality, and I felt like it was worth the money.

However, recently I have noticed a change in the food quantity. The prices have increased, and the filling in the shawarma has decreased significantly. The large size shawarma is huge, but the filling is very less, which makes it taste more like pita bread. Additionally, each time I visit the shawarma seems to be getting smaller and smaller. I am disappointed with the changes.

I have always been a big fan of Tahini's, and I have recommended it to many of my friends and family. I hope that the management will take my feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to improve the quantity of their food. I would still recommend Tahini's for their delicious food and friendly service, but I would advise customers to be mindful of the changes in the food...
