Vera Restaurant — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

Visited Vera Restaurant yesterday....temperature outside was 37 Celsius.... in the restaurant it must have been over 40!!! when inquired was told AC was broken for the last few days and have no idea when it would be fixed!!! they had an industrial fan going on....Restaurant is big, clean, very plain decor to say the least. The heat made us very uncomfortable.....The waitress was very pleasant, however, very unexperienced!!! The food, is very overrated in the reviews...we ordered two appetizers to share, Borani, which was very tasty, and Bolani, not tasty at all, bland and soggy!! We ordered two entrees, Ali Nazik, presentation was good, but very very salty.... the price did not justify the quality......additionally, we ordered the Adana plate, which was ok...with salad and Bulgur. As for the dessert, we had the Kunafa, and it is safe to say the worst Kunafa I have ever tasted!!! and I am a Middle Eastern, grew up with Kunafa!!!!....The bill at the end came to $84.00, we ended up paying $50 each.. .....not the cost they advertise per person, per plate.... A very Overrated...

I had a wonderful experience at this Afghan-Turkish restaurant in Richmond Hill! The food was absolutely delicious — full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked. The kebabs were juicy and tender, and the Afghan rice was so fragrant and tasty. The mix of Afghan and Turkish cuisine was unique and beautifully balanced.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or a special gathering. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and...

5 Stars – Amazing Food and Atmosphere! We visited VERA with our whole family, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We ordered almost everything off the menu, and every single dish was delicious—flavourful, fresh, and beautifully presented.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for a family outing or a night out with friends. The staff and servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome.
