Our party came around 6 pm and getting a table wasn't an issue, but I noticed during our hour stay that the place really filled up! So be mindful as it seems like a good idea to come earlier in the evening.
This place has nice, simple decor with comfortable seating which feels spacious. The place visibility looks quite clean but I was bothered during my meal by two flies that were constantly roaming the restaurant.
For ordering, there are QR codes embedded on all the tables for you to scan with your phone to easily view the menu and order. This was great as you can view it in Chinese or English, a helpful tool since most of the employees speak Mandarin with the exception of one who was able to communicate with us in Cantonese. Along with this note, the service was very friendly. They were very cautious about handling the food as it was very hot, with special care for customer safety. In addition, they were attentive in making sure our cups of water and/or tea were filled. We were also greeted with thank yous on our way out.
In terms of food, the main dish I ordered was the "Coconut Curry Rice Noodle Soup" which includes wood ear mushroom, quail egg, sausage, ham, fish tofu, shrimp, minced pork, corn, sauerkraut, tofu skin, lettuce, sliced pork. This sounds like a lot of toppings but I felt there wasn't enough toppings for the portion. However, you can fill yourself in all you can eat noodles! The texture of these noodles were really good and I loved the soup, which had the perfect amount of heat to them. I also got to try their battered squid tentacles which were nice and light with a good crunch to them, but the batter didn't stick well and the tentacles were on the smaller side. Regardless, the tentacles were cooked well without being too soft or tough. Their Taiwanese fried chicken was nice and tender without being greasy and was paired with a yummy sauce. A winner for me though was their "Coconut Lava Balls" which were chewy and filled with coconut cream and sago! It was so tasty we had to order another serving since there wasn't enough to go around. I highly recommend giving those a try.
Props to them that everything came out piping hot and steamy! I can imagine how great this joint would be in the winter to cozy up. Thankfully, despite this heat, their AC was adequate so I could still enjoy the meal comfortably.
Note: they have a membership you can join for a one time $20 fee which offers things such as 10% off your bill, free birthday noodles, and others (refer to my photo...

You order by scanning the QR code on the table. We ordered directly with the waitress instead. They provided us with a glass of complimentary tea, chopsticks, spoon and a napkin.
We ordered the Braised Chicken (boneless) and Braised Beef with noodles. Both were delicious. You can change the level of chilli heat if you wish. We ordered no spicy. The Chicken comes with bone in or boneless. If you want more toppings or vegetables, you can pay extra.
If you are a frequent guest to this establishment, it’s best to pay an one time fee to become a VIP member. Ask them for more information.
The food in general came out at a decent time. It got crowded as we were leaving. You pay by approaching the Cashier at the back of the restaurant and stating your table number. BTW, they only accept debit card and cash.

Read moreThis is the worst experience ever yet the three of us were truly disappointed. The service was crap. When ask for napkins they on supplies with 2 sheets. I asked for more napkins the waitress provided only 1 and it was from the table next to us. This is not the first time at this location, we general go this location if not once to twice a month. Next the food quality has declined since my last visit. The chicken was not tender, it was like eating a well done steak, the hand pull noodles were under cooked. The amount of food is far less than the other franchises. This is the last time at this location, I rather drive further to the one located at First Markham Place.
Plus the menu has changed. Since the place serves chicken pot, before there was an option to choose chicken with bone or without. This does not make sense, having chicken without bone takes the...
