First Experience (3 Stars): Food tasted fair but absolutely not an excellent dish. Steak was not like the picture I saw, it was dark brown closed to black colour. I went in the store to pickup my meal which I felt so crowded between tables. However, the service was excellent in which the waitress smile and spoke politely. Oh one thing forgot to mention, the beef soup was tasty.

Second Experience (5 stars): A busy day at work today and I decided to grab some food for lunch at around 1:30 to heal my emotion. I grabbed the same noodles for takeout. This experience really surprised me as food (steak) was obviously improved, staff were very friendly (can’t believe 4 staff standing in front of me with friendly smile when I was paying the bill, and said bye when I was leaving the restaurant.), and parking was surprisingly easy to find. I will definitely go there again in the future if they can be consistent with the quality. I never dine-in in this restaurant and would like to try once.

Update Review (2025.02.28) (2 stars): I usually bought take out here when I need to work in the office but today I worked from home and I decided to have my lunch at the restaurant. To be fair, the services still good, but I was very disappointed that there was a bite with cigarette ash taste. I’m not sure if my sense of taste got wrong but that was disgusting. I spit out that bite and that’s already almost my last bite. I still paid a good tips since they kept their friendly services but definitely need to improve their food quality and food safe...

This was a truly wonderful dining experience! Yesterday, my mom took me to Uno Beef, located at Richmond’s No. 2 Road and Blundell, to enjoy some authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup. As soon as we stepped inside, the staff warmly greeted us. Despite it being a busy mealtime, we patiently waited about 20 minutes for a table.

The staff were incredibly thoughtful. Noticing I had a baby with me, they kindly asked if I needed a high chair and quickly brought us hot tea. We ordered the braised beef noodle soup, minced pork rice, popcorn chicken, and the cucumber & pork intestine platter. The portions were generous, and everything tasted delicious (though the beef broth was slightly on the salty side, everything else was spot-on).

The service truly stood out. My mom is a regular at Uno Beef, and the staff ( the young guy with a mask) clearly remembered her. He was particularly humorous and made my little boy laugh, making us feel like we were enjoying a cozy meal at home—warm and welcoming.

All in all, this is a beef noodle shop full of Taiwanese warmth and laughter. Even though I live in Surrey, a bit far away, I’ll definitely be back—and I’ll be recommending this gem to...

Placed order over the phone to pick up later, arrived to find that one of the items ordered was not right. They offered to correct it right away (good), so I walked about and went back later to pick up. Upon arrival later to pick up food, the person who took my call took the menu to me and blamed me for changing my mind on the spot (bad). They claim they clearly heard me order (A) and I showed up insisting on (B). I insisted that I had ordered (B) but they insisted that I ordered (A). Look, I don't know what prompts someone to insist a customer is wrong, but that left a terrible impression of the place for me. I didn't blame them for misplacing my order or the extra wait, but instead they made me feel like I'm the guilty party. They made me feel like they needed an apology and admittance of fault before letting me out the door. Food was decent even after most of my order sat for half an hour before I took it home. Definitely will not order over the phone from this...
