Sushi Han — Restaurant in Richmond

I used to like Sushi Han but not anymore. Rarely do I give total negative feedback to a place in a review. Today, I had the worst experience in getting takeout from Sushi Han. I ordered a beef bento box and I picked it up right on time and went back home right away to eat it. It was a less than 5 minutes drive. When I opened it, I first found they have given me semi dried up sushi rice that was only slightly warm instead of normal hot rice. The rice was clearly not fresh. Second, the sashimi that came with the box was already warm and sweating fluid. Third, when I took a mouthful of the soup, I found that it has already gone bad. Half of the items of the box were either subpar or downright inedible. It totally spoiled my appetite. I have never experienced this from this place or any other place before. Hands down the best! I have been going here for well over 10 years. The current owners are AMAZING - and unbelievably kind and sweet! I am always greeted with a friendly smiling face, they know me and my friends - which is the cherry on top! Its rare these days people remember you. The service for both eat in and take out is on point, plated with much care! Quality of food and ingredients is excellent. Never old or unappealing. Always very fresh! The food never misses, I have not tried a single thing I did not like. I have celebrated many birthdays at Sushi Han and they always make me feel so very special, from giving me a pen as a gift to always bringing the whole table a special complementary dessert. The chef/owner has come out to greet us before. They are always willing to take costumer feedback - and they really do make a change when suggested. Look forward to going here for years...

Unfortunately a terrible experience, I was seated down and ready to order when I asked a lady if I may order, she leaves to find another waitress however is unable to and tells me that the other waitresses are 'busy' and will take my order soon. (Not sure why the initial lady couldn't take my order seeing she had nothing to do?)

Fast forward 10 minutes I don't recieve the help that was said to come and I decided that I would go to the front desk to order to go instead- another woman I believed to be the owner ignored me blatantly while I said 'hello' or 'may I order to go' as she blankly stared behind the desk.

Sushi Han is a subpar place on food quality I understand that however when youre craving desperately- no other choice.

Dont take a seat because anything more than 3 tables in that store and they are unable to provide service- best bet is ordering to go and that is...
