What an absolute piss poor excuse of a restaurant. Don’t believe any of the 5 star reviews on here because anyone who thinks this place is worth 5 stars is either brain dead or was paid do so.
The food is cheap, but really you get what you pay for. I’m fairly certain most of the food is premade store bought food. This might have something to do with the microwave sitting right at the front of the kitchen. The garlic bread with cheese tastes like it contains exactly zero garlic and is basically an open face grilled cheese. Definitely not worth the $5 it cost.
The service was just awful. Our waitress got our bill wrong and delivered our food at really odd times. Never in my life have I had my main course come, then my appetizer, then my water. I also ordered an iced tea then got it refilled (which by the way costs extra) then after paying for my bill and leaving I had my waitress CHASE AFTER ME out of the restaurant only to tell me she had only charged me for one of my two iced teas making me come back inside and pay for it.
If you want decent food, then avoid this place like the plague cause you sure as hell won’t find any here. You’re probably better off going to McDonald’s or even buying food at the Shoppers drug and cooking it yourself. On the other hand if you were dropped on you’re head as a child and have the taste buds and intilect of a a chimpanzee then you’ll love this place.
I regret tipping, I regret going back in to pay for that second iced tea and I regret ever stepping foot in that restaurant....
Read moreWent there for the Monday New York Steak special. Ordered the garlic prawns and a wine. The steak was a good size. Came with rice, potatoes, garlic bread, and salad. Everything was good. I ordered the medium rare. According to my cousin, they always slightly over-cook the steak. It was perfect for me. I don't like my meat too bloody. The steak meal was a good value for the price. I am no steak connoisseur, but it tasted good to me. I asked for a side of HP sauce, which made it perfect. The garlic prawns were a bit too small. Not enough shrimp. For $8, I would have liked to receive more shrimp. The taste was good but lacked a bit of salt. The salt I was provided came in paper packets like fast food restaurant. A salt shaker would be been more classier. The glass of red wine was good. In terms of service, they were not very attentive. Every time, I needed something, I had to get up out of my seat to get the server. She was either hidden or just not looking in our direction. She seemed like a nice enough person. She just needed to be trained a lot better in doing table checks, especially a little after we got our meals to see how our meals were going. That is just server basics. Overall, I would come back for the steak special but I would be weary of getting jacked on the appetizers and would not expect much from the...
Read moreStopped by for lunch at LA Grill on a weekday. They have plenty of seating area but the dining area inside was a bit dark.
They offer very cheap lunch deals which was popular for most people eating. The staff are very nice and the service was quick.
I ordered the Lunch Specials which was Chicken Souvlaki for 12CAD. However, Chicken Souvlaki was bland, the chicken was not seasoned well and it doesn’t look like it was grilled. The serving portion was enough and it was quite cheap but not something that I will order again or recommend. The pasta looks nice though, maybe that’s a better option and cost only 10CAD. For lunch special, you have to order a drink for 6CAD. I ordered the orange juice which was nice. Overall, if you are looking for a budget friendly place for lunch, this could be the place, just don’t order the souvlaki and don’t get your hopes too high for the price you...
