2Gather Grilled Fish & BBQ Restaurant 二合豆花烤鱼 — Restaurant in Richmond

Visited on a Wednesday evening with my wife. First off, the decor and atmosphere is a solid 5/5. The ambiance and environment is straight out of Cyberpunk 2077, making for a very cool environment to have drinks and great conversation.

My wife started with a sake cocktail and I with a beer flight - both were generously poured and well made. Very refreshing cocktail and beautiful presentation on the beer flight, with printed descriptors for each brew.

We tried a total of 6 dishes and the overall theme was clear: extreme freshness, umami seasoning, and ferocious heat. The lamb and beef skewers were a standout, with each being dry-rubbed and tender. The fresh black cod (which was swimming happily in the saltwater tank near the bar just minutes before we ordered it) was seasoned perfectly and drowning in a spicy, tangy broth. The pork belly bao buns were incredible, with the pork belly melting in my mouth before I could chew it. Several palate cleaners were served, including a cold prawn and baby octopus platter which made a perfect break before the dessert.

Dessert was a massive portion of nitro-frozen grape yogurt with strawberry and vanilla soft serve - this was extremely delicious and not too sweet, even though the berry flavour was very pronounced.

The servers were attentive and very friendly, and the restaurant provided an iPad for my wife and I to easily place orders on their robust menu. The iPad worked great and was very clean when handed to us upon entering.

Overall, this restaurant offers extremely fresh food and a well-thought out menu. My wife and I left very satisfied and will be back to try their famous...

Been there twice now. Went there once for the fish~ it’s not bad, but I won’t say it’s a must eat. We had the vine pepper one, a tad bit too spicy for my taste but my friends did enjoy it a lot! The bbq skewers and frozen yogurt cubes however, ARE BOMB!!! Went there for the second time just for the skewers and frozen yogurt and left very full and happy. Drinks: ordered a plum something cocktail the first time, please just believe and not order that. Worst cocktail I’ve had…. Watermelon drink in the photo was great tho!!!! Worth a try and very insta friendly 😂 Vibes: kinda like a nightclub if imma be honest. Lots of funky music and led strips but it’s a fun vibe...

Received first set of skewers after approx 25 mins, appetizers didnt arrive till additional 10-15 mins, the other set of skewers for another 10 mins. It took 1 hour and 15 mins for the fried rice to arrive since we ordered. 1hr 20 mins for the grilled seafood which arrived cold. The lamb skewers were also barely warm when we received them (for both two separate orders). And just a side note, the chicken skewers have two garlic cloves (instead of chicken) that separates the three chicken pieces on the skewer. Pss. there were only two other tables when we got there...
