Response to the owner: the Shaved Ice is beyond regular sweetness. If we knew that it would be that sweet of course we would adjust the sweetness.
Mango Sago & Grapefruit Sweet Soup is not standard; you used water to replace the coconut milk so it was diluted and thus the mango taste was not strong even with the mango pieces. The amount of sago is obviously minimal. You can try the ones from other stores and you will know that yours is not authentic.
The Tofu Pudding was under the header 'Hot' on the menu so it was not an option. The desserts should be ready before the store is opened and the tofu should not be disintegrated. The plastic container for the brown sugar was smaller than the ones from other stores which was not enough for a big bowl like this. We did not request the evaporated milk to accompany the tofu pudding so that was not the point (that you gave it to us at no extra cost and you put the containers separately for customers). The point is you should ask the customers if they want the evaporated milk because the menu says only the brown sugar comes with the tofu pudding.
Don't worry; we won't return.
Original review: They put a scoop of ice-cream in the Mix Fruit Shaved Ice. They should indicate the ice-cream on the menu. They could have given us fruits instead of ice-cream. Also, the shaved ice was extremely sweet (too much sugar syrup).
The Traditional Tofu Pudding was disintegrated. How can they give that to customers? They gave us evaporated milk on the side with the brown sugar and they were in two tiny plastic containers. First, they should only give us the brown sugar according to the menu. Second, we did not ask for the evaporated milk and they should have asked us before giving it to us. The plastic container was so small that they should give us two containers of brown sugar instead of giving us the evaporated milk.
The Mango Sago & Grapefruit Sweet Soup was watery; you can barely taste the coconut milk or any milk. There were pieces of mango but not much sago and grapefruit. It was not authentic.
Moreover, they made us wait when it was not necessary - they microwaved the tofu many times (we heard it) but the menu said it was hot. That means they should not need to microwave it; it was supposed to be hot in the kitchen. Furthermore, they could have the other server given us the desserts instead of helping other customers first.

And leading to a great time in a cup. Reading all the other people's reviews, I was like woah, IS IT REALLY THAT BAD?!! 4 words, NO IT IS NOT.
Maybe it could be that I didn't have these before, or maybe I let it melt just a bit in the car, while driving to deliver a cup to my friend, or maybe it was a bad batch that was made? I don't know, but the cup was delicious!!
I ordered the Mango Sago Coconut, and it was pretty delicious. The amount of sago inside the cup filled the sides of it, and on top of that, the mango chunks were pretty big to the point it was almost overflowing my cup a bit and I had troubles eating them.
I might have let my cup melted a bit when delivering it to my friends and when the ice melts a bit, it mixes perfectly with the other ingredients and you can actually eat it like a fruit cup. And they might have added a bit more sago into the cup.
I will be coming back in the future to try their other stuff, but with the looks of their consistency, maybe? Idk,...
Read moreI recently visited Mango Yummy Richmond and was extremely disappointed with the level of service that I received. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff was disinterested in helping me.
I had several questions about the products they carried, but when I asked for assistance, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The staff member who eventually came to help me seemed annoyed and rushed, offering only brief, unhelpful responses to my inquiries.
What's worse, when I made a purchase, I was told I ordered incorrectly, making me feel extremely un-welcomed within the store. The staff member responsible for checking me out seemed to be taking their time, arguing with me, disinterested in resolving the issue.
Overall, my experience at Mango Yummy Richmond was frustrating and disappointing. The poor service I received made me feel undervalued as a customer. I sincerely hope that management will take steps to improve the quality of service at this location so that other customers do not have to endure the same poor...
