We’ve been here before despite the bagels being quite pricey, but it was meant to be a treat so we didn’t mind. We got two Montreal meat, one turkey, one steveston, and a cheese (can’t remember the exact name) plus 12 bagels to go for approx $90. The bagels are quite small in comparison to grocery store bagels so keep that in mind. Despite getting the steveston bagel previously, with the difference this time being getting it to go, I felt today it was lacking cream cheese and salmon. They closed it up like a sandwich in a to go container and it was tiny. With what I paid I felt a bit shortchanged but it wasn’t worth saying anything because we waited for so long to get the food already. They kept my “to go” bagel in the back until I asked for it which was bizarre. There were only two workers there, one making the bagels and one taking orders and helping make them, they def needed help as we waited for roughly 20 minutes for what’s considered fast food. They both looked sad and unhappy as not once did we notice them smile or seem happy to have us as customers, borderline annoyed. The extremely expensive price for product, long wait times, inconsistency in food prep, staff attitude and overall lack of customer service will not have us come back unfortunately. What was once a treat for us is just no more, I can’t see how I could rationalize small portions and rationed toppings, attitudes, and slow service for my hard...
Read moreI’m a little confused about how I feel about this place. The staff is super friendly and the variety of bagels is awesome. The seating is stools and metal chairs so not too comfy...maybe they don’t want you to sit around or hang out for too long. I was hoping they would have something other than bagels too as my little one is not always a fan of bagels....but no luck. I order the “rosemary rock salt” bagel with the vegetable cream cheese, my daughter got the plain bagel with the plain cream cheese and we got a bowl of the “tomato roasted garlic” soup. The soup came full to the brim and steaming hot just the way it should be-and it was delicious!!! The presentation is great. The plain bagel I thing tasted better than the other. The rosemary bagel itself was good but the vegetable cream cheese tasted sweet and as if it was vegetables mixed into salted margarine..I would like to come back and try one of the bagel sandwiches on there menu but it seems a little too pricey for just a tiny bagel sandwich. I think they could do much better if they added just a little more variety to there menu so that when family’s come with a picky eater there are just a few more options. Maybe a grilled cheese or muffins. I get it-it’s a bagel place but it should really expand the...

My friend invited me along to this Montreal-style honey water boiled, baked in a stone-hearth open-flamed oven making the outer layer crispy.
I bought 1 fresh Rosemary/Rock Salt ($1.95) and from the day-old bin, 1 dozen ($10.95) which is a good price. We did a squeeze test to compare freshness and didn’t feel any difference between the two.
Cream cheese selections were very limited considering the long list posted on the counter with only 1 Spinach/Feta and no more available from the back of store. Price for flavoured cream cheese: $8.95/200gr.
I had a couple bites out of the fresh bagel in the car on the way home, it was chewy but not crispy. I had (the remainder) for lunch upon getting back to N.Delta with a smear. I had high hopes for my first Montreal-style bagel, unfortunately I felt underwhelmed by all of it and it’s not enough to encourage a return trip.
As mentioned by others there is a sign posted on the door as well as at the till “Debit or Credit Card Only….No Cash”. I find that odd.
