Updated Review: I went to the BBT Shop today and sadly I have to update my review to take away 2 stars. I asked the cashier if it were possible to make the Oat Medley Milk Tea drink without any sweetener or sugar. He said yes, and re-confirmed that I wanted no sugar in my drink. The receipt identified him as the manager. When my drink was ready, I took one sip and almost spit it out because it was very sweet. I told the lady who made my drink that I had asked for no sugar, and she replied that the oat medley already has sugar in it. So I went back to the cashier/manager and reminded him that I had asked for a drink with no sugar. His reply was the oat medley was "naturally sweet" and he claimed there was no sugar in it. I really found that hard to believe but he insisted there was no sugar in the drink. I was extremely disappointed with both the drink and the service. If it wasn't possible to make the drink not sweet, he could have told me and I would have ordered something else. Instead, they led me to believe they could make my drink not sweetened as requested, and then were unapologetic when I got a drink so sweet I couldn't drink it. Not to mention I am positive that the man lied about it being "naturally sweet" as there no way oats could be this sweet without any sweeteners. I had to throw it away. Will definitely not be back for drinks.
In my opinion, the bubble waffles here are much better than the bubble tea, although the bubble tea isn't bad. The waffles are quite delicious though! I've tried the Red Velvet, the S'mores and the Super Mango. You can add $1 to get mochi in any bubble waffle. I enjoy the chewiness of the mochi so it is worth it in my opinion. If you're getting bubble waffles, I recommend eat in. The waffle will get soggy in transit. The bubble waffles are made on order so be prepared for a bit of a wait (worth if for fresh waffles, trust me). For those who can't finish one whole bubble tea, or can't make up their mind, they have duo cups (cups split down the middle so you can choose 2...
Read moreDoes this count as a hidden gem? I mean its practically hidden underneath a Superstore but you can still argue that many people that come to that Duperstore would know the place. Maybe its just me.
ANYways, I visited this pce not too long go with some friends who brought me here sayjng they had a BTS promo with special cups. Im a bit of a former fan(not that anyone cares)plus I do enjoy bbt anyways so I decided to see whats up.
As I had purchased my drink, the cashier told my friends and I that the cups arent available til next week, it was a bit disappointing I guess(I didnt really care(like I said, not much of a fan anymore)) though I cant say the same to the other two who were into the idol group. Plus I didnt know if the place gave a warning in their socials beforehand so I cant really put blame on anyone.
But we did get some scented tabs so we cool.
About the interior, it was definitelt somethin, there were so many figures of legos and action figures amd even anime scale figures. Not only that but it was also stuffed with stuff toys of random characters or Pokemon(I think) and most notable is their BT21 stuffed toys which were also being sold I believe but they were pretty big so I think theyll be quite pricey.
As a parting note, I say the place was pretty inviting, had nice outdoor lighting amidst it being under a superstore in a parking lot, very friendly staff and some gimmicky yet nice drinks.
I rate it a...
Read moreI had a pretty good time here overall. It's a small cute place with interesting decor giving it a fun character. Inside, it is surrounded by glass cabinet shelves with toys and merchandise that you can purchase. For the size of the place, the seating area was quite plentiful. Only complaint was that the back door didn't stay shut, and let some cold air in. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they seemed like they were having a good time working. The food was very good. It was my first time trying bubble waffles, and I was pleasantly surprised overall. We ordered the tiramisu and super matcha. First, the presentation was gorgeous, I almost didn't want to touch it. The ice cream was creamy and delicious. The waffle was very fluffy and toasty. The waffle and ice cream complemented each other quite well. It wasn't overly sweet like I expected it to be, but was just the right amount of sweetness. Also the waffle didn't get soggy at all, which surprised me. I liked the matcha better cuz I love green tea ice cream, but it also came with sliced strawberries that complimented the flavour well. I would definitely share one, instead of getting two next time, as the waffles can be quite filling. The price was more than I expected (each waffle around $9-$10), but the food felt like it had the quality and the presentation to back up the price. I'd definitely come back to experience a different kind of...
