I came in to check this place out after daily hives article I was sadly disappointed. The place is fairly new and when I came in they about 8 workers behind the desk as well as the manager I’m assuming (a man in a suit) and 8 girl barista. They also had two self order kiosks. The price looks inviting as the drinks only come in two sizes. Half venti and venti. I waited at the front counter while - group of 4 girl barista stood across from and ignore me for a good 3 minutes as I patiently waited and stared at them. The manager (the man in the suit) came up to take my order and I told him I wasn’t sure if they were super busy or not because I was waiting there for awhile and I felt like I was being ignored. Instead of apologizing he told me well next time just use the kiosk in a rude dismissive tone. One of the girls chimed in and heard me calling out their behaviour in purposely ignoring me (mind you no other customers or orders were being taken the time I was in the store just me). I ordered an ABS an apple beet strawberry juice venti the larger size and asked the girl to make it light ice and she repeated back to me ok light ice. She gave me my drink with the ice up to the line of the cup (The cup was full of ice) I asked her again after receiving the drink full of ice that I stated light ice and then she argued it was. I asked her to take out half of the ice as the whole cup was ice and then she said that the drink regularly comes up to the dome with ice. She took out 4 ice cubes and pictured in the photo below is the drink - not full and still 90percent ice and the drink is not even full. The taste of the drink itself is overly sugary, fake tasting and not worth it. I really wanted to like this place but the service attitude and beverage is an all over garbage time. Save ur 6 dollars and get a decent smoothie/juice/coffee/bbt at a decent establishment. This place is a major bummer! Never...
Read moreVenti serves great coffee with solid portions and fair prices—definitely one of the better spots in the area!!! My only wish is that they opened earlier. Right now they open at 8:00 AM, which is too late for people like me who commute early. I usually leave around 6:50 AM, and there’s actually a decent amount of foot traffic at that time—both commuters arriving and catching trains or buses.
If they opened at 6:30 AM, I’d easily stop by at least three times a week before heading to the office. I’d much rather support a local café than go to Tims or Starbucks, but those are the only options open early right now.
Also, I’ve noticed that around 9:00 PM, there’s very little customer traffic. The shop is often nearly empty in the evenings. So it might make more sense to shift hours earlier rather than staying open late.
Hope the team considers an earlier opening time (earlier closing time is fine for Richmond area..). definitely a morning crowd that would...
Read moreGot the Hazelnut Deep Latte (half venti, less ice), and honestly, the experience wasn’t great. The drink sizes here are based on the amount of ice…less ice means less coffee, which makes no sense. The barista even asked if I wanted more ice before handing me the drink, but I could already see that it was about 50% ice, and the actual coffee portion was significantly less.
Service wasn’t great either- she cut me off while I was ordering and wasn’t friendly at all. For a new place, you’d expect better service? There were only a few customers (two before me, two after), and three people working the counter, so it wasn’t even that busy.
On top of that, the drink was overly sweet, and the milk wasn’t mixed properly, I could see little white curds in my coffee. The prices are cheap, but so is the coffee. In my opinion and experience =...
