🎂 Vancouver’s Top 5 Cake Spots – A Sweet Tooth’s Guide!

Been wanting to try this bakery for a long time now… And I’m so glad I finally did! I got the tie Tisha Fung cake. The cake is quite affordable for the quality that you’re getting. I absolutely love the Thai tea jelly that’s on it. The buttercream is light yet prominent in flavor. The chiffon inside is extremely buttery. I left some in the fridge for three days and it was still so moist after period. This is rare. It seems like such a simple concept… With three ingredients. But every single component of this cake was so well done. Done to perfection, if you will. I also added the additional cookie sign… Which is totally worth it. At first, I was a little sceptical because they charged for the sign… But honestly? I’m so glad I did. Because it’s delicious. And the writing is quite nice too.

I once studied baking at VCC and also worked in a French pastry kitchen, so I’m quite picky about desserts. YUDI meets all my expectations: the sweetness is just right (truly delicious without being overly sweet), everything is fresh, the ingredients are top-quality and generously used, and the flavors are rich with layers. From the time the owner decided to study pastry in Japan to the success of today’s increasingly popular cake shop, they have been down-to-earth and dedicated to quality and taste—a rare find among bakeries. Eating cake usually means gaining weight, but with cakes from this shop, it’s worth it, because it’s pure enjoyment.

Hi, Remember me? I did not think I would leave a review-because it is Christmas, but after eating it after the dinner today, I am going to do it for good sakes. First, this is NOT a Japanese bakery. Second, The cake we had is NOT a Japanese style or bread. 3rd, this is the 3rd degree cake. Cream, sheet all wrong. Cream is not fresh milk cream at all. You advertised Avalon milk on your INSTA. BIG NO. THIS IS NOT THE CREAM FROM THE MILK!!!! We threw out all after the first bite today. I would bring it back to you if your shop was open to taste it by yourself. The cream was not smelled fresh and tasted odd. I ordered Mango cake on Dec 15th and confirmed. So I visited today to pick up my happy cake. And, You tried to screw up our charismas cake by not delivering what I ordered first (No mango cake all of sudden without any notice- can't you think you need to make a call? ) when I visited today on time, but I must get whatever available in the display. First, I ordered $38 Mango one. You asked me take $60 something Strawberry one or just worst plain cheap one. Well, you put extra Strawberries on top by MY request after removing Some Christmas decorations and cream. and You forgot what I asked to put my daughter's name on top. The bottom line was that You should not sell that displayed one to anyone. I just had no choice and That was turned out to be a old one. Christmas cake is for making the kids and family happier for the day. What you did today was not just unprofessional, but showing you fellas not ready to run this bakery business by cheating people by the name of JAPANESE BAKERY. Poor and just worst Christmas eve experiences!!!! (One of the three bakers? was doing her job without saying anything. I put 2 starts for herself only. I am positive she was the only one understood what was the problem. You couldn't see what was wrong, could you? When A Christmas cake was ordered and not ready on the evening of 24th, What did you really think? You even noted my number on your notebook. You even spoke in your language most of time in front of me when this problem was happened (It's okay for your other time of course)and I was really thinking what the H....I Wish I had another choice with my daughter waiting outside in my car!! I am going to get another one for her tomorrow morning from nearby one and was sorry for making her to try that Strawberry cake today instead of one she chose to order...Wow....just Wow!! --If you have one word to talk to me about this, you have my number.

See the shop's reply. You don't get the point, I am not interested in your 3 years experience in Japan which you can proudly put your newly opened shop as a processional Japanese bakery in Canada. And then, You did not deliver one simple Mango Christmas cake order today without any word . And the alternation was for the displayed cake you should not do that and that cake was out of world to be served. That is it and you still don't know what the big thing is going on, do you? If your alternated cake was tasted just normal, I would not do this review at all. You still don't' know. That is why I wrote you fellas are not ready. One more thing. One of three of You was talking to me and went back to the bakery room (open) we could all see and put some work on that displayed cake with the hands as it is touching strawberries and the cake and the tools. Aren't you supposed to wash your hands before doing the bakery work? Is it what you learned from the JAPANESE AND FRENCH BAKERY SCHOOL, Good luck AND YOU are reported. The department who controls will visit your shop without a notice and I hope they can fix things. Again, You are not deserved to run a shop and you gave the worst, just worst experience for the Christmas. Your cake I tasted was not even close to Japanese cake or any normal one we can buy at TnT or other...

I came by two days consecutively , first day I came in late plus their refrigerator was not functioning well so there were not much choices. I picked the Mont Blanc and also a yuzu matcha cake. Mont Blanc was slightly on the more sweeter side but also with some hojicha flavor ( not sure ). Matcha yuzu cake was interesting, very strong yuzu taste which is refreshing but definitely overpowered the matcha so I am not sure if I like it or not. The girl at the front was pretty nice and told me to call and reserve. So the next day I did and they didn't have much choices and no black sesame. Ended up getting only hojicha and Thai milk tea chiffon. I can see why everyone is talking about it, really nice flavouring and the chiffon is very soft. I will definitely come back for the chiffon. Was pretty sad that they no longer do the genmaichai cake that I saw in other people's review. One thing tho , the cashier on the second day ignored my conversation and cut it off abruptly ( it's not like I was trying to talk about something unrelated , I was simply trying to tell her about how I didn't get to buy the chiffon cake yesterday and appreciate the bakery allowing customers to call and reserve )...
