Carlo's Cucina on Burger Week could use some work. At first we tried to place our order for pick on the telephone, twice the restaurant couldn't hear us despite us having a clar line and we got hung up on. We tried a different phone and found out they had a different menu for buger week and weren't to helpful, so we ventured down to the restaurant to place our order.

We arrived at 3pm to place an order for 5pm. We are told they couldn't guarantee 5pm but half hour eirther before or after (4:30 - 5:30) but they could give a call when it was ready.

Well at 5pm hadn't heard from them so we ventured down to the restaurant. We get inside and they say that the meat is on the grill, and they ask us which vehicle is ours and they'll bring it out to us.

We got our food about 550ish.

The 18 dollar burgers looked about the same size at the 8 dollar burger my friend got. The burger week burger did come with fries though.

The burger week burger was pretty good. I liked the Brisket, the bun was a good fresh bun. The burger patty was decent. Midway through the burger it became very sweet and the flavours muddled together. At a couple spots the burger had pockets of fat/grease maybe the brisket?

The horseradish aioli was bland and mediocre.

The fries were soggy and underwhelming. They gave you a lot of them, even the small size. The gravy was weak and a bit thin.

Overall the burger was okay. I wouldn't buy it again. Their regular burger with cheese and bacon looked pretty good and at half the cost I'd probably order that.

The restaurant was super busy and a lot of the staff seemed young and overwhelmed. I might go back but not for their burger week burger (and I probably won't go back on burger...

I heard good reviews about the restaurant but my experience in terms of the service and the food was not good. Let me preface my review that we were a table of 4 and were there at lunchtime. There was one other table in the restaurant. The initial beverage order was incorrect, had to catch the attention of a server that was chatting to the other and wave her over. There was no cream offered or served with the coffees, had to wave her down and ask. The fries were hot, the gravy was cool to touch so that the grated cheese didn’t even melt. 2 other meals had toppings that were cool. Had to ask for cutlery for 2 people. Not offered water or coffee refills. The owner came by and we mentioned the cold gravy and fries toppings and she offered to redo the meals but at this point we were over it. These star ratings reflect the poor poor service and the cold meals. I would have given a 1 but the owner offered to remake them. I placed an order for pick up for 6 adults and 2 kids. I had written down each person’s meal down before I called to place my order to ensure I wouldn’t miss anything. I even had the employee read back the order to ensure it was correct. However, we were disappointed after we got our meals and 3 orders of fries and a poutine were missing. Definitely put a bit of a damper on our dinner.

Also, I ordered a lettuce burger, which proved to be a disappointment as they failed to tell me they didn’t have the right lettuce for a lettuce burger. Rather, they gave me a burger covered in shredded lettuce. If I would have known they were going to give me a burger covered in lettuce, I would have ordered something else.

When I called to let them know our order was incorrect, the employee who took our call didn’t really take responsibility, which was frustrating. They did end up making the missing items, but we had to drive back to get them in the middle of dinner. Many in our group ate...
