What used to be a charming bar at the center of town is now a depressing low class VLT casino. Understaffed irritated bar tenders act like they don’t want you ordering drinks. You have to get buzzed in and they make you wait in line to get in despite being nowhere near capacity.

If you’re not a VLT gambler or a local regular they will make sure you feel unwelcome in their establishment. Although I didn’t see any bikes outside or anyone who looked like a biker I got the feeling the bar owners were cosplaying as a club bar with all their unnecessary security. But at the same time cosplaying as a speakeasy VLT casino.

Garbage cans don’t exist here except behind the bar top and in the bathrooms. So if you have garbage you’re incentivised to leave it on a table or to bother a bar tender with it.

They don’t have a water station which means their standoffish bar staff have to serve waters to people who could have otherwise served themselves.

Our waitress here was not very keen on displaying any form of decent customer service. We received dumb and consistent frustrated faces when asking questions of food selections. I ordered a poutine and 4 chicken fingers. The Poutine was served on a very small plate, with far too little gravy, plus it just didn't taste well. The total for this and an iced tea was $16.00, which considering the portions is a ludicrous price. Terrible customer service, decent food (at best), overpriced food, gross in need of cleaning bathrooms. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, don't come here. The customer service will make you feel like you're simply an annoyance...

Hello, July/21 Now that the Covid restrictions are more flexible, I was able to enter the 'oldie' main dining room and was pleasantly surprised at the new changes made by the new chef/restaurant owner. The food was home-style, very fresh and the staff were very pleasant. I also appreciated that the new manager took time to see if my order had been taken and if all was fine.
