Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Russell

Overall a good Dairy Queen.

The store was warm and inviting even on a cold January day.

Lise the store clerk greeted us with a smile and well wishes for the New Year. She was very kind and polite with my children. She greeted all guests with the same enthousiasm.

We placed our order,poured the drinks at the fountain and took a seat.

The restaurant seating area was tidy and tables were well stocked and wiped down .

Within a few minutes we received our food. The typical food for Dairy Queen.

My youngest had the hotdog and it was well dressed. The burgers and chicken strips were well cooked. We all had fries that we're still frozen.

Lise promptly made our kid's cone and two hot fudge sundaes.

The prepared cakes looked appetizing and were numerous.

There is a drive-thru.

The toilets (ladies) were clean and well stocked, spacious and mostly wheelchair accessible, although no button on door.

One of our favourite places to go in Embrun when we’re craving a bit of fast food.

The food is always excellent and piping hot (unlike other fast food places where the food is cold or luke warm at best). Highly recommend the chicken strips, onion rings and any of their burgers.

The staff is always friendly - I cannot name a single time I haven’t been greeted warmly at the drive thru. Staff are always polite and have a smile when you pull up, which is rare these days.

The only thing is that sometimes I think they might be short staffed and it can take a few mins to get your food but honestly, it’s worth the wait to get...

I’d give zero stars if I could. Since they couldn’t find my cake that I had ordered 3 days ago. And I had also called yesterday to confirm that the cake is ready.... showing up to my gfs birthday with no cake, thanks DQ!

Edit- yet again another disappointment, DQ hours says drivethru is open till 10:30pm, so I drove all the way out to DQ. And to find out they are closed at 10pm, even tho there was employees inside ignoring the fact I was at the drivethru window, I had to call the stores phone and tell them I was outside and the hours states open till 10:30pm!
