Horrible experience. I'd never go back to this location ever again and I'd be hard pressed to want to visit this chain. The soup was supposed to come with noodles, so upon getting it, we saw there weren't any. We checked quite a few times as we're not picky customers, but when it comes to Thai soups (including Tom Yum soup, which we ordered as that is the only soup on the menu), the rice noodles are typically a big part of it, so we didn't have a complete meal, otherwise we wouldn't have bothered asking about it. In a completely polite manner I mention that the soup didn't have any and if it was possible to get a small order of noodles on the side. No big deal.
The waitress seemed a combination of pissed off, unconvinced and reluctant. What was the big deal, exactly? Anyways, her pal in the back made the noodles and I believe he gave it a nice big cough seasoning.
I can't be 100% sure since I wasn't keeping an eye on the dude, though where they make food is pretty visible and hearing him do it was pretty nasty. I then proceed to hear a little bit of banter between the two about what we expect. We expected what was advertised, relax guys. One of the servers there was polite, at least. He explained sometimes the cook only adds a small amount of noodles, which is cool, but there weren't any so we were in the right. We're not confrontational people so we just left, a bit confused about what the hell just happened. Avoid this place unless you're cool with supporting people that are happy to do anything they want with your food and feel...
Read moreI've had terrible luck at this location and yet I keep getting food there because it's close by and convenient and I seem to forget what bad luck I've had.
Multiple times I've had a box that's so salty it's not even edible,I have no idea how this happens so often?!
I've also ordered mild spice and gotten mouth burning hot.
And twice I've gotten a box where the noodles were so undercooked that I had to use my fingers and rip with my teeth to get a bite which is insane for NOODLES.
I can only assume they wayyyy under pay their cooks and as a result hire novices with no senior oversight mentoring them?! It makes no sense how their food can be so unedible otherwise. I don't blame the staff, more the owners who I think must be doing something wrong. Most of the people who work there are nice, and usually I don't bother complaining because I'm already at home. But one time I did complain and got the 3rd degree lecture about how this was a one time free box because I called in and didn't bring the food back??? Seriously messed up.
I've had good noodle boxes in the past, especially at the downtown location so I know the recipe isn't the problem.
And since the average price is $16 I would hope for something a little...
Read moreTerrible service. Ordered 2 peanut noodleboxes with chicken through skip the dishes. Paid $45 ( after delivery chages) Received them with no chicken in them. Skip the dishes would only refund $8 for the chicken, which if fine because it was not their fault but we did not want to be left with 2 boxes of noodles with a little bit of sauce and virtually no vegetables in it so we decided to call noodle box directly and ask if they could remake us one. After being put on hold 3 times 10 minutes later was told we could bring them back and they would remake us them (which defeats the point of ordering delivery) as they would not resend them. I asked if they could have it ready when we got there in 15 mins, then when we got there they said they had to verify it had no chicken before they would rectify the problem. The cook came out 5 minutes later and insinuated that we possibly ate the chicken (which is ludicrous, why would we pay $12 for delivery and then spend 45 mins retuning them to scam $8 add on of chicken) and said i guess we will take your word for it and then just added chicken to our boxes and gave them back. The girl behind the counter was ignorant too, Noodlebox has gone downhill and will not...
