Guess I just found my favourite Turkish resto in NB!! HONESTLY ✅🤩

Saw the fantastic reviews for this resto and decided to check it out since I've been craving some top quality Mediterranean cuisine lately. I had the chicken shawarma wrap (large) with a side of rice.

Listen to me when I say this. The large wrap was ONE FOOT LONG 🤯 I measured it with my arm. It went from first to elbow lol. Not only was I blown away by the length, the wrap was also packed full with shawarma goodness. I asked for a combination of both the regular option (fries inside) but to also include the veggies option as well (lettuce, tomato). It was DELICIOUS. WOW. The chicken shawarma meat was delicious, fresh. Portion sizes are amazing.

The side of rice was this interesting mixture of yellow and red coloured rice. My server explained to me that it's a house recipe where they season 2 batches of rice separately with distinct herbs and spices, and then combine them all together afterwards. I've eaten a lot of rice in my life and can confidently say this has been one of the best rice servings I've ever had. Top 5 rice for sure.

Speaking of my server, I was greeted by Diana. A kind young lady who spoke with great professionalism. I could tell she works hard to ensure the patrons are having a great experience at the restaurant. She was very helpful in answering the questions I had, before, during, and after my meal. The service I received was perfect.

This dining experience left such an excellent positive experience for me that I went over to Walmart after to pick up a case of the same pomegranate Barbican to take home with me 😁 I wish we had a Turkish place like...

I ordered from Turkish Big Bite online last week. It said it would take approximately thirty minutes so I waited to go. When I get to the restaurant I was told that the order was in progress.

As I wait, multiple tables and take out orders came in and out. They got their orders well before I did. By this point I had been waiting in the restaurant for a half hour. I go to the counter and advise them that not only have people been getting their orders well before mine I have now wasted an hour of my life waiting.

The waitress goes to the kitchen and comes back. She advises me that there was an issue with the online ordering. She prints the receipt and brings it to the kitchen. She comes back and advises me the kitchen could have my food ready in 10 minutes. I do not like food being so rushed. Particularly when handling meats. There is just too much risk of it being undercooked and then you end up getting sick.

I advise them I do not want the food. I just want my money back. The waitress went to get someone from the kitchen, I have no idea if this is the owner or manager or whoever. They advise me that for days they had been having issues with their online ordering. They never mentioned this on their social media accounts. They didn’t bother to tell the waitress so she could have at least informed them that someone with an online order had come in.

Overall my experience made me feel that the restaurant is poorly run, has no issue with rushing food and potentially causing a food borne illness, and just not good. I wouldn’t recommend eating here for...

We recently visited Turkish Big Bite Restaurant in the Saint John area, and I had high hopes for an authentic Turkish dining experience. The atmosphere was nice, and our server, a young lady, was exceptionally polite and accommodating, which made our visit pleasant.

However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when my lamb kebab arrived. I specifically requested it to be cooked medium rare, but it was overcooked and lacked flavor. I was really looking forward to it, especially since I noticed they use pressed beef, which I’m not a fan of. I prefer the traditional beef, like proper steak from a rotisserie. The Baklava was also very dry and not as tasty as it should have been. I guess our expectations were set a little high.

On a positive note, the lentil soup was decent, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Barbican soda malt drink—it was a tasty highlight of the meal!

While I appreciate the service, the food did not meet the standards I expected from a Turkish restaurant. I'm not sure if we’ll return, as we’re used to enjoying authentic Turkish...

I dined at this charming restaurant-Turkish Big Bite, and it left me with mixed feelings. The ambiance is inviting, and the restaurant maintains a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of enticing options to choose from, which is always a good sign for adventurous eaters. The service was a highlight of the evening. The girl who took my order was attentive, friendly, and eager to help with any questions I had. I opted for the mixed plate kabab with rice and salad. While the portion size was fair considering the price, I was somewhat disappointed with the chicken. It turned out to be hard and dry, lacking the tenderness and juiciness I had expected from a dish like this. Despite this setback, I would recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're in the mood to explore new flavors and appreciate a pleasant dining environment in Saint John.
