If I could give this zero stars I would. This place is a total rip off. Brought two big garbage bags in full of excellent quality pajamas and coats, they took about 50-60 items out of my bags and wanted to give me $51.80 for it all. I almost just took my stuff all back home with me based off the fact that they were giving me basically about $1 per item. Unfortunately, I did sell it because I have tons of stuff to sell and get rid of and just didn't want to lug it all back home after that. But let me tell you I've never been more disgusted leaving somewhere than I did this store. once I left and it sunk in just how much nice, practically new stuff they got from me for pennies, I felt totally ripped off and regretted selling the items to them at all. This place is a big scam! They Claim to give you "30-50% of the price they sell it at", but I seen the prices in there and they are definately not cheap. They are getting people's stuff for literally pennies and then making huge profits on it!! Disgusting. If you want to get money for your things don't waste your time here. I will NEVER go back again. Terrible

Edit: sept.27/2025 Dear Sharon, I find it laughable that after a year you decide to respond with a long reply about how you clearly have so much time on your hands to go looking in your system for a transaction over a year ago,just so you can try and argue the truth with me. I am well aware that I can decline the offer to sell and I did for A few things. No confusion to be had, it's simple the amount of items I mentioned was what you guys wanted to purchase and I declined a few items as I thought it was absurd. I did decide ultimately to sell because as I stated I didn't want to bring it all back home again,but since this awful experience, I've been donating my items rather than wasting my precious time dragging it in to your junk store to be totally ripped off. So do the math again 30 items at 39$ you paid me is about 1.30 per item. Anyways Fact is, and based off the many reviews I see that are just like mine, your store is a rip off! And a total scam. Update as of today: Went today after not being there for a while, to see if maybe the last experience the girl working was just having a bad day (by the way to the owner who replied saying retail is hard I work retail and would never speak/treat anyone that way). Brought a bag a clothes and customer service was much better today. But for name brand clothes, not even worn and some had tags I believe on still to only offer 12.60$ for 35 items…. Including Nike and champion is absurd. As I said on the way out when I took my items back I will NEVER RETURN. Remove me from any mailing lists. If I could give zero stars I would. The first time I went there, it was awful but I believe in second chances so I went again for consignment. Second time was awful too but stupidly I went again thinking maybe it was just a bad day there but NOPE. Shocker it was another bad experience! My first experience there the girl was super rude and told me my items were “well loved” and only wanted to give me 26$ for 40 BRAND NEW WITH TAGS clothes I brought in. Second experience there, and they told me my items were sized they didn’t need or out of season and wouldn’t take any. The next day my friend brought my stuff (the same exact stuff) in and they took it all… then I saw on their Facebook page an item I really liked and called them to put it on hold and they said they had it on hold for me until the next day (because it said on their posts they can do that) told them I was on my now and drove 45 minutes to their store to be told it sold! Wasted my gas and time was SUPER disappointed. My third AND LAST time going there I tried consigning again and they took toys, a bouncer, a high chair, bsthtib and clothes (all name brand) and only wanted to give me 50$ for it all and I said no and took it all to the other kids consignment store where they actually gave me a really good price. They’re always rude here, don’t know what they’re doing half the time and it’s so disorganized even their staff can’t find stuff. They’ll tell you your stuff is “well loved” yet they’ll put clothes on the hooks that literally have holes and stains and look so used and...

Where to begin- I’ve been in this store several times now and the staff is very unfriendly. The woman who wears the Covid mask years after Covid is particularly rude for zero reason. They take forever to count your items- call back hours later , then price you incredibly low so it’s almost worth more to just not waste your time and drop it all off at Value village.

One particular time I’ll never forget is i brought in a mamaroo ( i live 35 minutes away from SJ for context ) i brought it in while it was also in the winter to be priced- at the time my son was 6 months old. I waited in town hoping to get a call back but didn’t - i got a text back 3 hours later after I left SJ to tell me a price but by then I couldn’t go back to get it as I was home and winter with a 6month old driving wasn’t safe, especially that many times. Then the women I spoke to on the phone told me that if I don’t come back to get it they would keep it. Well, next day I went in- they told me I didn’t have an item dropped off- and that it was out of the time limit I could pick it up (24 hours) I could see it behind the counter… how many people drop off mamaroos? so I let it go - obviously didn’t sit well with me at all…

Anyway, The stuff they offer is highly warn down- boys selection is also minimal comparatively to the girls. Every other store I’ve visited of Once Upon A Child chain has had decent deals- this store charges very high. I went 3 times and now I’ll never go back- it’s not worth it. The disorganization- the attitudes- and the prices are all a miss for me. The shoe section also is ripe- they accept dirty worn shoes and going through the bins is a stinky mess. The staff hangs out at the front desk and nobody is rushing to help anyone. Every time I’ve gone in -the staff shoots a dirty look- and out of the 3 times I’ve visited the location 0 of the times did i get a hello.
