Would not recommend this hotel if you’re staying for multiple nights and want your room cleaned. We stayed for three days and expected to have our room cleaned in the early afternoon on the second day. They told us the room had to be vacant for the cleaning staff to come, so we specifically asked and scheduled our room to be cleaned around 2pm when we were out in the city with the kids. They said it would be no problem. We even put all of our belongings aside to make the cleaners job easier. We came back long after 3pm and the room hadn’t even been touched by the cleaning staff. So we called the front desk and explained what happened, only to be met with staff who didn’t seem to care at all. They nonchalantly told us they would send someone if we left the room again. We explained that we couldn’t do that because of our two toddlers, which is exactly why we asked for them to come at a specific time when the room would be vacant for a while. So our room was never cleaned.

There was no attempt to properly rectify the situation. For the price we paid to stay here, I’d at least expect the cleaning staff to bother doing their job. We then asked if they could at least send us fresh sheets etc so we could do it ourselves, to which they also said yes that’s no problem, but no one came yet again, so we couldn’t even tidy up our own room at this point. Very disappointing experience. The room itself was fine for our needs and the location is nice too, but the staff make it not worth it. Will be staying...

Best Western is, as the name implies, the Best. I travel a lot for my work. I stay in hotels 3 to 4 nights a week. Best Westerns are not always available where I need to be so I get to compare other hotels and they are all at least one notch below Best Westerns. When you walk into your Best Western room you might think everything is brand new and that you are the first one to ever have used the room. The bathrooms are spacious with large granite counter tops, the TV is mounted on the wall so you are not trying to watch it between your toes when lying on the bed, the toilets flush first try, the heat is accurate and responsive and so on. Other hotels have 'cheaper' looking and feeling amenities. The bathrooms are small, the vanities are usually 36" with a fake marble top, the TV is usually mounted in front of your feet. Breakfasts at Best Western offer the most selection. I can't eat bread but I have a choice of scrambled eggs, baked beans, salsa, bacon, sausage, fruit salad, fresh fruit, granola with raisins and sunflower seeds, cereals, juice etc. For bread eaters there are lots of choices from toast to waffles. Other hotels offer an adequate breakfast but only about half the choices. The staff are all very friendly and often call my room once I am settled in to see if everything meets my expectations. Some of the staff know me by name and greet me with a friendly smile. Best Western is my home...

UPDATE: Called head office and complained about this stay... recieved a call from the "manager" today which was a joke.. said the breakfast was actually half decent.. which i thought was a prank LOL would never ever stay here agian! Will be called back head office manager pretty much said he it is what it is ... We sadly stayed here, and we had a bad experience. It started off good with the male representive that checked up in.. Then when we got in our room (room 314) we noticed pee stains on the matress. It was gross!!!! The rooms are very old style and the wireless charger were not working. There no fan in the bathroom. Then to make matters worse the breakfast was the WORST we ever had!!!!! Cold eggs which were fake and cut up like cubes of jello, hashbrown was cold! Dried up. Waffles were cold even though they were undwr a heater which wasnt working. I hate a bite of the waffles and they were like 3 day old soggy. The fridge that holds the yogurt was warm so we were nervous to even try the yogurt. We didnt even eat anything! We paid 40,000 points and when i wrote a review the manager didnt even offer to refund any. Very dissapointed and wont be back. At checkout the lady was rude and she didnt even ask us how our stay was, i am guessing she doesnt ask cause the hotels gets so many complains. We stayed october 9-11...

Excellent Stay — Clean, Comfortable, and Great Service! I recently stayed at Best Western Plus Saint John Hotel & Suites and was thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of options, including hot items, pastries, and fresh fruit, which was a great start to the day. The hotel’s location is convenient, close to shopping centers and restaurants, yet it remains quiet and peaceful. I also appreciated the free parking and the well-maintained indoor pool. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Saint John.

Friendly staff and overall clean hotel. But I would not call this a "Plus" Best Western. The decor and furniture is outdated, tired and lacks the modern in room amenities you should find in a Plus banner. If you want to see what a BW Plus should look like, checkout the Bridgewater, NS location. We came from a Suite there to a Suite here. Night and day difference. This is literally just a regular Best Western that corporate slapped a Plus logo on so they could charge more money. Again, staff were all great, it was clean and the location was good. But it was still a very disappointing experience and the breakfast was awful, fake eggs to match the fake Plus banner.

Stayed here on our way back from Nova Scotia. The location is just off the highway. There were lots of great places to eat nearby. The room was clean and a good size. It’s not downtown it’s about 15 minutes from downtown. If you’re just looking for a place to rest on your way back home, it’s a good choice. The room was clean and the breakfast was good for an included breakfast. The receptionist mentioned that we would get a discount at Montana’s. We are there and the food was great. Best Western has some good places to stay in the maritimes. Our trip included several Best Western properties.
