Cora Breakfast and Lunch — Restaurant in Saint John

Brought the kids today, motivated by the $1 kids’ menu. Both kids had their menus in front of us. Daughter ordered eggs and Turkey sausage - everything came out great. Son (11 years old) ordered the crepe. Get the final bill and he was charged the adult crepe. It seemed a little large when it was delivered but I didn’t think anything if it. Got the bill, hubby paid then I looked at it. They charged us for the adult crepe. Then we were blamed for not clarifying kids vs adults. The server didn’t ask for clarification and assumed adult despite the kids menu sitting in front of the child. They told us they could not refund us and the best they could do for the $17 difference in charge was $10 in gift certificates and a free cappuccino. My husband had also ordered turkey sausage and was given bacon. When he asked for his correct order, they took the plate, exchanged the meat and returned the same plate. He didn’t say anything but is Muslim and having the pork touch the remainder of the food is not acceptable. This is our second visit to Cora’s in the past month (different locations) and the service was disappointing both times. It used to be our favourite brunch place. I suggest that the servers start using note pads again (both did it by memory and missed things) and that they should know the menu better than the customers and ask for clarification if there are 2...

Goodness this chain is awful. Doesn't matter what location. I ordered the "chirozo" skillet during their skillet fest. It was so gross basically a hotdog version of chirozo not the crumbled meat like every other breakfast place. Sliced ham instead of chunks. Dried tomatoes instead of...REAL tomatoes. The potatoes are obviously fried then refried before giving them to you but on a stove that is way too hot so it's a weird combo of too soft and burnt. Then because it was a skillet they over fried everything again causing everything to be dried out with burnt chunks all over. Just inedible. It's my 3rd try over thier 2 locations and I'd never go back. Consistently terrible food. Better places breakfast places are just down...

We had a terrible experience with the manager, a blonde lady, she got our order wrong and my husband ended up with a crepe with fruit and it had hazelnut sauce in it and he is allergic to just so we tile her that she got his order wrong and she insisted that she didn’t. Then she went to the counter and we heard her say to some staff that she does not like old people and has no tolerance for them. I got angry and told her we were leaving because she had no tolerance for old people and she was rude. We live Coras and we go there often - but not anymore. From now on we will go to Pur & Simple for breakfast from now on. She needs to be fired if she is a manager cause this is not the example u should...
