Walking along the boardwalk on a hot sunny day me and my gf decided to opt for Casamigos seeing they have a terrace and Mexican which I'm a big fan of.

We sit down at a table where the staff is quick to approach us and bring us water, this will be the high water mark of the meal and the last water we will be brought over the next hour plus. We order some drinks that are decent and an entree which is nachos with sour cream, salsa and guacamole after being told the last page of the menu with fajitas and burritos aren't available because noon on a Saturday why should they be. 30 minutes later the entree arrives in one of those old school frie baskets which is stale nacho chips, sour cream and guacamole both in those small plastic containers which are clearly pre prepared and no salsa. They somehow managed to mess up guacamole too which all you could taste was onions and sadness. For some reason this took them 30 minutes to assemble but in their defense they are consistent on that front cause the mains which we ordered at the same time came in another 30 minutes which were shrimp tacos for my guest and filet mignon tacos for me. Keep in mind during this long wait people that came after us were served before us and everything is premade and just tacos or quesidillas so clearly so there is no reason for that to be the case.

In any case we get the mains, neither of us finished our meals. I had one Taco of the 3 beef filet mignon which the best thing I can say about them were cooked. It's pretty hard to make meat that tasteless, like no salt or seasoning just bland.

Let me give context by saying I am not a picky eater and I'm a big guy from MOntreal. When food is in front of me it's getting finished, but that streak has been broken so Thanks Casamigos?

Final tally for this adventure was $85 plus tip (nachos, 2 tacos meals and 2 cocktails) , an hour and 15 minutes of incompetence on display for front and back of the house.

If you want Mexican in Ste Annes go anywhere else and order a Corona,...

Dated June 11th 2021

After work I decided to take a walk down the Boardwalk after hearing that Casamigos was doing their soft opening and saw people walking up and sitting down.

Figured I'd scope it out.

Not just because Friday night is the perfect night for margaritas and tacos. Tonight just BEGGED for it. 😜

I was seated promptly, great service from Mike.

The menu is simple and enough choices to please just about anyone.

Of course, this is a soft opening so they did not have everything which is fine and understandable. Soft openings are like tune ups when you play guitar.

Opted for the Spicy Mango Margarita (mezcal, dry curaçao, mango puree, lime juice and jalapeño syrup) the Pescado tacos (breaded cod)

The serving is three tacos and I tell you, I ate the third one out of sheer gluttony because I was pleasantly full after two.

My second Margarita was the Blueberry Margarita (tequila reposado, blue curaçao, blueberry puree and lime juice) All their Margaritas and cocktails are two ounces and priced at $12. Which is very decent for quality ingredients.

I was sat at roughly 7:30pm and my bill was paid and I was leaving by 8:10pm.

The soft opening continues tomorrow at 5:00pm, not sure when they close but I wouldn't recommend showing up at 9:00pm on any soft openings. They'll be open for lunch as well as dinner starting this coming Tuesday. It's super casual and straightforward. No nonsense and unpretentious. I would say the prices are moderate. The portion was perfect for the price. I'm definitely intrigued to try the other tacos and other stuff. The table next to me enjoyed their jalapeno poppers. Everything is fresh and made from scratch. It is also possible to only go for drinks, you are not required to buy food if you don't want to. They have other kind of beverages if you don't drink and just want to eat. Yeah, this is the perfect kind of place if you don't want to make a whole night out of dinner. I'll definitely go again and bring...

We (party of 5) arrived without a reservation on a beautiful and busy Wednesday night during the Construction holiday: the hostess was upfront about the time it would take to get our food due to a staff shortage, but there was a patio table available so we took it. We got some water rather quickly, then not too much later, we ordered our drinks from Fabio. Maybe 20 minutes after receiving our drinks, Fabio took our food order (2 starters and 5 entrées). The starters arrived maybe 15 minutes after ordering, and despite a little mixup between tables, Fabio made things right without a fuss. The entrées were served maybe 35 minutes after ordering, but it didn’t feel that long because we were in no hurry, a gorgeous summer day was slowly coming to an end and the vibe was great on the patio with good Mexican music at first, then a live band on a nearby plaza afterwards. I really liked my shrimp tacos as well as my kids’ birria tacos and burrito. However, we all agreed that every table should have salt, pepper and hot sauce in order to bring out the full potential of these fine and fragrant dishes. The staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the number of clients simultaneously invading the patio, but everyone was polite, hard working and professional, and Fabio coordinated his team and supported them well while remaining cool as a cucumber and upfront about the challenges his team was facing. Happy to have experienced a great location, fine food and a dedicated team; we’ll be back next time we want to escape to Mexico...

Amazing mexican food. Loved the chicken quasedillas and nachos, veg tacos was good too but would have preferred mexican red beans instead of the potato filling and an option of crispy tacos, these were soft tacos but was still yummy. We ordered grilled shrimp which came with rice - the rice was ok but the shrimps were not fresh, chewy and didn't taste good so we left it. Both the drinks were super - the mocktail margarita et mangue épicé and cocktail sangria roza. The best part was all the alcoholic drinks could be made without alcohol as well. The ambience was beautiful and the servers were friendly.
