I can't believe what we experienced tonight. Coming to Ste-Anne's from downtown to celebrate my friend's pregnancy. Within 10 minutes of sitting down, we witnessed the owner YELLING and SWEARING at 2 of his employees. An employee informed us the 2 employees he is belittling and demeaning is because they gave their two weeks' notice. My pregnant friend decides to politely address him because he is YELLING and SWEARING and these two young adults. He yelled back at her, told her "I didn't ask for you opinion, if you haven't ordered yet, leave!". Clearly, we got up and left. He made sure to swear at us on our way out. I can't believe what we just witnessed. My friend confirmed this was the owner, as she dealt With him planning her wedding rehearsal dinner 3 years ago. I hope those two young individuals aren't marked/scarred by exercising their human rights to give 2 weeks resignation to their employer. I'm holding back and staying polite... I would have a lot more to say about the indecency...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThereās a lot of bugs in the terrace, which is not the main problem, if youāre eating outside, youāre most likely gonna eat bugs. The problem is the horrible chef who has no manners and no sympathy for customers. I did not expect a full refund, I was just coming with concerns for future costumers and all I got back was rudeness and bitterness. He didnāt even try to listen to my concerns, instead he was just trying to say ā I CANT CONTROL NATURE, I CANT CONTROL BUGSā I was just asking for a little sympathy and kindness and yet was received with attitude and yelling. I didnt get his name but to describe him, I would say he was white bald and maybe 5ā8. The food wasnāt horrible, however if you actually wanna have a good experience, I do not recommend this place. Maybe the chef was drunk with how easily he got agressive. Save yourselves the trouble and go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe used to be regulars at this restaurant, but lately weāve noticed a decline in consistencyāespecially when it comes to seasoning.
Today, we ordered our usual four-cheese pizza for our two kids, but it was unexpectedly loaded with cayenne pepper. When we brought it to the serverās attention, he brought additional napkins to wipe off the spice, which, understandably, didnāt help much.
What was most disappointing is that despite acknowledging the issue and the fact that our kids couldnāt eat a single bite, we were still charged full price. As loyal, returning customers, we expected a more thoughtful response. Unfortunately, the staff didnāt seem particularly concerned.
Message to Mary, the owner: if you need more details,...
