Bellevue Resto-Grill — Restaurant in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue

Don't go to this restaurant - Service was terrible and staff has no respect for their customers. I've been here twice but my most recent experience was horrible. We were a table of six. First, we were seated at a table without cutlery or napkins and were only given them 5 minutes after our food arrived meaning we were sitting at our table waiting only to have to ask another waiter because ours was incompetent. We were not even given 6 regular sized forks, one of them was a dessert fork almost equivalent to size of a baby's fork. Second, our waiter (tall, hunched back, bald man) refused to write our orders down onto paper and therefore interrupted us 3 times throughout the night to confirm our order with us. When finally receiving our food, my order was incorrect. Although promised to receive the rest of my missing order, it never happened. The waiter did not return to our table again throughout the night to pick up our plates. We waited about 25 minutes for the receipt, before having to get up and ask for them ourselves at the front desk. Third, when time to pay, the waiter handed us a debit machine without an amount on it. When we returned it to him to ask him what we were supposed to do, he took a few moments to enter some stuff onto the machine. After tapping our card and getting a confirmation of payment on the machine, the manager (small old man wearing a black shirt) and waiter (same tall, hunched back, bald man) had the nerve to then yell at us on our way out of the restaurant saying that we did not pay. The waiter was very condescending and rude, spoke with a very dirty and aggressive tone to us. This restaurant has earned their rating. Unfortunately, many of the common complaints you see in other reviews speak the truth. The food is unpleasant at best. The staff experience leaves a lot to be desired. The terrace is inarguably the best part, with a decent view but a lot of wind on certain days.

I had the penne rosé and I greatly regretted it. I barely ate any pasta, though the salad was very good. The garlic bread was also bad, barely any taste. My partner had the Chicken Parm, and the breading was just sliding off of the chicken, like it was wet. The marinara didn't taste great either. Others at my table agreed that the food was not good and has been better in the past.

As for the staff, while many of them were polite and friendly, and they did refill our water often, our main server was very curt and didn't have a friendly bone in her body. Another server was aggressively chewing a piece of gum with his mouth open during our entire time at the restaurant, which was fairly gross.

We got to the restaurant at 7:00, and they told us it would be a 30-40 minute wait. At 7:40 we get in, and it took them until 8:10 to get our orders. At 9:00 we are told that they forgot to punch in the orders. Finally at 9:20 we get our food. After 30 minutes of waiting for the bill we ask for a discount. The “best” they can do is 20%. At 10:00 we finally left after paying over 100$.

Keep in mind the service was terrible. No one filled our waters until we asked, no one checked up on us, no bread until we asked, no follow up, and the fries are also frozen. Additionally, the manager was rude, smug, inflexible and would not take accountability for their mistakes. He told us that they seat lots of people so this is “normal”. After waiting 3 hours I had to deal with an arrogant young man who should not be managing anything.

Lastly, we saw waiters, waitresses and owners on their phones and drinking while in a “rush”. The way they handled their mistake was very unprofessional. Never coming back. If I could give a zero...
