Bannock Express — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I was extremely disappointed yet again. I really do support our local businesses but after today I don't think me or my work will go to these folx again.

I called them around 5pm (April 11) for 2 batches (12) Bannock and 1 batch (6) of gluten free. At first I was told that the baker was going to come back in 5mins (after the first call) then start the Bannock. which was all good for us anyways, I was told it would be ready at 5:40pm. I called at 5:40pm and the guy told me the baker just arrived and was going to start baking then told me the gluten free option wasn't available anymore. 🙃 I pointed him out what he told me from the first call and the caller was gaslighting me saying the baker was out for an hour instead. I then called an hour later and was put on hold for 15mins. Then I hung up and I called them back 4 times and no one picked up. It was 7pm so I drove to the business and found out they were about to close. It appears the baker didn't know and the guy who took my call didn't communicate at all. They apologized and gave me an oven Bannock for free but still charged me for the fried Bannock which they only gave me 10 pieces. I took it to feed our youth at my work. A youth gave me the Bannock back because they took one bite at it was uncooked in the middle. Like it was very doughy in the middle as if the baker left it on the fryer for 2mins (proper Bannock making takes longer than that) the picture is at the bottom.

This is extremely unprofessional and fed my youth uncooked Bannock. As I've said me and my work will not order...

Bannock Express was very disappointing, i am unsure if it was just an off day because the reviews of this place are great and it seems like a loved restaurant. while waiting for our food we overheard some very eccentric conversations between the ladies working as our food was about a half an hour late. lots of screaming, sharing drinks, something about pulling out 6 foot long tapeworm from something, and when we were about to receive our food the ladies in the back start yelling about missing taco from our order. i can only assume they forgot to make it because when i received the bannock taco it was almost frozen with no thought of preparation whatsoever, it was just confusing and made me sad. one friends burger patty was absolutely raw and cold and there was hair scattered throughout the chilli.

I truly wanted to like this place as it reminded me of my favourite restaurant in tulita nwt, BJ’s kitchen. Bannock Express fell short and i’m just nervous for what’s going to come out of me in...

This place is absolutely awful.

I have heard of so many people getting poor service, small portions, or not even receiving their food at all. I decided to order to test out the stories for myself.

No answer when I came to the door. Messaged on Facebook, was told to come back in 15 minutes. Came back in 15 minutes, food was still not ready. When I finally was able to receive my order, the portions were tiny for the price, and the food wasn't even good.

What happened to this place? This place used to be awesome and now the customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced, and the food tastes awful.

If you don't care about your customers, your food, or your reputation, you shouldn't be in business.
