We had to wait around 40 to 45 minutes for our food. Although we were not in a hurry, the long wait almost ruined our appetite. Additionally, the seating area was quite cold. Using the thermometer app on my phone, I found the indoor temperature to be around 11-12°C. I requested the server to increase the heat, but unfortunately, they were unable to do so. We had to keep our jackets on. Now, regarding the food: **Chicken Biryani**: The portion size was adequate, and the taste was satisfactory. I would rate it 8/10. **Beef Kebab**: Disappointingly, it was not up to the mark. It lacked flavor and quality, so I would rate it 5/10. **Tandoori Chicken**: It was dry and overcooked, though the color was fine. Unfortunately, the taste did not meet expectations, so I would also rate it 5/10. **Garlic Naan and Masala Chai**: These were decent. The staff were polite and accommodating, especially the server and the person at the reception. However, the overall experience was let down by the long wait, cold environment, and inconsistent food quality.

The lunch buffet was good but there is room for improvement. The chicken (in both tandoori? and butter) was overcooked/dried out/something because it wasn't tender. The goat curry was okay but a bit too goaty for me. It was nice that the buffet came with naan delived to the table but it didn't seem freshly made and looked better than it tasted. The dal mahkhani (I think) and chana masala were nice. The pakora and another fried veggie dish were really tasty. All the veggie dishes were decent but the meat dishes weren't that great. The mango custard for dessert was pretty good. The selection was larger than I expected but I'd prefer to have only 8 good options instead of 10 or 12 which might not be as good. There was only one other customer seated and two or three for takeout while I was there for lunch at noon on a Thursday. 😬 I'll be back to give it another try and hopefully it will be a bit better. I don't think it is a bad choice so I was surprised that it wasn't busier.

Updated February 25th, 2023 Our 2nd visit to this eatery on our Saskatoon trip today. We liked the food last time and this time was no different. We ordered Nihari (beef Stew) Chana Buthara (chickpea curry with fried bread) Latcha Partha (Multilayered Fired bread) Nan and tea. Everything tasted delicious and very authentic. Highly recommended Little gem in Saskatoon and f you like South Asian food. We went for breakfast and ordered Lacha Paratha (kind of fried flat bread) Keema Nan ( flat bread with minced beef filling), Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and tea. Food was simply outstanding. We loved everything we ordered. Taste just like home cooking. Price was reasonable as well. Server was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. First time we saw tables with built in spots for hotpot in South Asian restaurant. We didn’t get to use it but it’s a good idea. Highly recommended

Kabab King has the worst service ever.Because they will charge for food box’s $1/$2.If I’m buying foods from them why I have to pay for the parcel boxes. They charge for each boxes. And let’s talk about their food taste. When I tried their food for first time it was good. When I tried 2nd and 3rd time it was worst. One day I asked the waiter is there any pickle or lemon available he gave me 2 small pieces of lime which was stale. The waiter didn’t told me I’m gonna be charged for it. They charged me $1 for the lime when I was paying the bill. What kind of food business are they running. If you compare Kabab King with other Deshi restaurants in Saskatoon then you will say the have the worst services ever. And they increased the food prices. To Kabab King please learn how to do Bussiness. Try to make the food good not the price expensive. Educate your waiters though they doesn’t know how to communicate and please before serving the cx inform them you are gonna charge them for the parcel box and simple lemon etc. Such a poor restaurant with poor service, chef, waiter and the cashier who doesn’t know the waiter charged the cx for lemon and boxes, how will they know they doesn’t clearly write in the bill. I will highly recommend to avoid...

Very good east Indian food. Like VERY good. Don't expect too much for aesthetics inside the restaurant, so don't let that change your opinion of the food. They have a buffet that you can eat at, or order out. If you wanted to order out but still taste a handful of things, you can get a plate of the buffet to go and fill it with the 12-18 different meal options on the buffet (this costs the same as a buffet I think, but there is lots of choice for the $16)

Overall, the staples of what we get: Butter Chicken - Sweet (very tasty for a first timer to Indian food) Garlic Naan Bread - Each piece is big enough to share (but get 1 piece per person, as it is too good to share) Lamb Tikka Masala (Lamb has a bit of a stronger taste than something like chicken, but it is very good) Rice (Usually we cook our jasmine rice at home, but they make good rice too)

Also, would recommend the Chana Masala ( chickpea masala) as well as the Okra dish (I don't recall the name, but they'd know what you are talking about - reminds me of a spice filled...
